An early Fatality Friday is upon us, as GameSpot posted a new Liu Kang Vignette video for Mortal Kombat (2011) today. In this video we get our first look at both Kano and Shang Tsung fighting on what appears to be a revised version of Mortal Kombat 3's Rooftop level. You also get to see one of Liu Kang's Fatalities that has been teased recently. An interesting note is that it appears that Shang Tsung is actually morphing in this video. So hopefully the team over at NetherRealm Studios found a way to make morphing work in-game on this new engine.

Unfortunatly, NRS choose the "Space Kano outfit" from MK3 instead of his "Karateka outfit" from MK1... May be in alternate version ? Anyway, it's good to see you, Kano ! Still one of my top characters ! And i really like the new way logos appears : both Warner Bros (with Dragon) and NetherRealm Studio (Scopion's rising) !! Great work !

liu kang looks bad ass for real...young shang doesnt look bad either.

I'm a little disapointed by his fatality... It's only a (big) punch in the chest ? Why they didn't do as far as Li Meï's one, in MK:DA ? A big punch in the chest AND THEN a kick in the head, in order to make it explode !!! Why ?

This is awesome! The portal stage looks amazing! & in-game, Liu looks unstoppable!!

Love Liu Kang's video! and he does look Asian after all... sweet!

Mine was going to be Mileena and Scorpion... but now I am thinking Liu Kang and Mileena !

Does this confirm Shang Tsung being able to morph during gameplay?

Liu Kang seems to be getting better and better as videos are released for him. Can't wait. It was really awesome to see Shang Tsung be able to morph, but his costume looks a lot like a rehashed MK vs. DC costume, imo Lets just hope they confirm that you'll be able to morph in battle.

Just as I predicted, Liu Kang getting more agressive... excellent. As for Kano, I was hoping that he would get his Deadly Alliance outfit. A perfect mixture between his MK1/MK3 incarnations: http://mkw.mortalkombatonline.com/mkda/kano/bio2.gif
