Probably there's not many besides Bayonetta and Lady Death that would drawn in a big auddience. Buffy is own by 20th Century Studios/Disney and Joss Whedon is under hot water right now. There's also Rayne, but her series is pretty niche though.

Not typically a fan of guns in MK but Classic Lara Croft would be pretty Sick
also Aphrodite IX has a great design,
maybe Tank Girl could be like a cheeky female Johnny Cage.
Harley Quin would be an obvious choice too.

Malenia the Severed from Elden Ring is always a choice for a female guest. Elden Ring is one of the biggest games of this decade so far and would fit well into MK.

Lollipop Chainsaw, Bloodrayne, Jill Valentine, Ada Wong, Cammy, Mai Shiranui, Catwoman, Buffy, Xena, and Christie (Dead or Alive) are some of the best choices.
