What if Siro, Taja & some of the other MK Conquest characters don't return? We'll have to introduce fresh new ones joining Great Kung Lao's side.
That goes for new villains if we'll ever see "acolytes of the Dragon King".
Any ideas for new characters in GKL's time?
Well, here are some ideas of new characters.
1. A female protagonist with a sword and shield. She can be similar to Sophitia from Soul Calibur when it comes to appearance and personality. She'd have moves similar to Wonder Woman's sword and shield in the Injustice series.
2. A male protagonist who is an ancestor of Johnny Cage and Cassie Cage. He would have the green powers the Cages have and would be of Mediterranean descent.
3. A female dominatrix type of character can be an antagonist. She can use a whip and have Catwoman's whip moves with Wonder Woman's lasso moves from the Injustice series. She would throw bolas as a projectile and to immobilize opponents for combos.
4. A female or male Native American ancestor of Nightwolf can be a protagonist. He/she can be the person with the arrow and bow in this game.
5. An male executioner type of character (similar to Astaroth in Soul Calibur and Pyramid Head in Silent Hill) can be an antagonist who wields a giant axe.
6. If Motaro will not return, there can be a new minotaur type of character. OR... Motaro can start of as a Minotaur but during a boss battle, transforms into a centaur.
7. A new sorcerer or sorceress that will have Quan Chi's, Shang Tsung's, and Shinnok's moves (if none of those 3 will return). This sorcerer would also be able to summon demons and humanoids to attack during battle. Better yet, this sorcerer should be able to summon the likes of Netherrealm demon characters such as Kia, Jataaka, Sareena, Ashrah, Moloch, Drahmin, an Oni, or anyone similar to them.
8. Khameleon can return with Mileena's moves. (Instead of sais, she has daggers.)
9. Jade's mother (the woman in her MK9 and MK11 ending) should have her moves and weapons but with a slightly different style (just like how Michelle's moves were similar to Julia's moves in the Tekken series). Only this time though the staff would be some type of Naginata or Yari. She should also be named Emerald (a character rumored to be in MK2.)
10. Now that I remember it, Hornbuckle. He have the moves of Liu Kang in this game. Fire God Liu Kang can be in the game but not a playable character. Instead, Liu Kang gets defeated by the final boss of this game at the beginning of the story and takes his powers.
11. The final boss of this game should be Onaga (The Dragon King).
12. Reptile should be in this game but as a human first.
13. A new Kytinn character can be an antagonist who would have D'Vorah's moves.
14. Nitara can be in this game since vampires do not really age.
15. A younger Sindel can be in this game.
16. King Jerrod can be in this game with his powers and sword from an old MK comic.
17. Delia can be in this game while wielding a fan to perform magic.
18. Argus can be in this game while he uses a magical staff.
19. Daegon can be playable and start the Red Dragon clan (since that's where the Black Dragon came from).
20. Amara can be in this game. She is Rain's mother as revealed in his MK11 ending. She can wield a katar (similar to what Rain has in MK11) and can also throw a chakram. (Her moves would be similar to a Rajput warrior.)
21. A new Lin Kuei warrior can be nicknamed "Sub-Zero".
22. A new Shirai Ryu warrior OR Shujinko can be nicknamed "Scorpion".
23. Kintaro can return as the playable Shokan.
24. A new Naknadan character can return.
