I don't know if this poll have existed previously on TRMK, but i didn't find it... and i'm really interesting to know the most popular MK !

(I was limited in 10 choices, and decided not to mention "MK VD DCU"... I prefer to make choice between MK3/UMK3 and MKT, whch is more interseting for me)

I'm going to say MKD with MK4 in a very close second.
-Had my favorite character in the franchise.
-Had my 3rd favorite character in the franchise
-The best story mode so far
-Kira became the first carbon copy I've ever wanted to return (I don't count Frost as a carbon copy)
-Some may hate me for this, but they have a far better reason for why the dead never really stay dead (Onaga resurrected them due to boredom and he (was) the only person to know how to resurrect dead warriors in their exact appearance where as Quan Chi made spectres and wraiths. They couldn't spam his powers due to the fact that he was dead for all but one of the games.
-The greatest sub-boss ever, Noob-Smoke
-Had less characters I've disliked ingame (Only 3) whereas other games (other than MK4 and MK2) only have 25% (MK9) to 50% (MK1) of characters I liked.
-Finally, the fatalities and hara kiris of the post-UMK3 characters
 
Mortal Kombat 4 / Gold.
The animated endings, the new characters, the beginning of the sidesteps and weapon styles,
Not only was that game revolutionary for it's time, it was the start of the 3D Era,
And it introduced my wife.
MK4 is the only game I will ever call my favorite game, EVER. Even Mortal Kombat 2011 doesn't stump it off the top for me, and I can promise you that MKX will not be better than MK4 in my 'interest and love' opinion

Yes, it's very difficult to choose ! But i didn't want "multiple choices" for this poll... it's way more interesting to choose your very best MK game of all time !

Mine is MK Deadly Alliance (for many reasons)...
then UMK3 (the one i play the most)...
then the original MK.
 
Mine is MK DECEPTION definately but MK TRILOGY is soooooooooo awesome, it woud be my fav if icould do an uncencored OG SUB-ZERO spine rip!!!!! i did it once wen i was a little kid but somehow! someway! the copies i bought after freakin 2002 cencored theee most badass fatality. HELP IF YOU KNOW THE ANSWER
 
I really love Armageddon. It had everyone in it and Motor Kombat was quite fun.

I also love Deadly Alliance (for getting me into this fandom in the first place), Deception (its Konquest mode and Chess Kombat were really fun), MK2 (love the plot and characters), and MK9 (the gameplay in general was really fun)
 
I liked MK Deadly Alliance, because of the variety of styles. MK Deception was ok. I felt that the 2d versions were limiting/much to be desired, but I will try the latest one that is coming out.
 
Mortal Kombat 2011.. I am in love with 2d era classic Mk Games but Mk2011 is perfected version of them as for me. There is no Scorpion's Penguin or Reptile's Monkey animalities. Human Smoke is no longer Scorpion copycat, Story mode just amazing etc etc. Maybe die-hard Mk Fans feels too much hate to NRS because of Freddy Kr., Kratos and Cyber Sub-Zero but i like all of them.. I have to say thanks to NRS for this game.

I would say over all Deception only very slightly just beating MK 9.

I still have to say nothing has come close to MK2 in the wow factor especially the transition from one game to the next, yeah we have much more gruesome and darker MKs NOW but this game was just ground breaking when it first came out in the arcades. It literally made MK what it is today.

So yeah Deception, MK 9 and MK 2.
