I've been having a bit of trouble with these achievements lately. I only need these two and my kung-fu is stronger. I understand how to get Turtle, but every single time I almost get it, the other person quits. I've tried it with Cyrax by spamming nets and teleport, and Smoke by spamming smoke away. Any other tips for it?

I also don't fully understand the other achievement. Do you have to win just a round with under 10% or a match winning round? I've gotten all the way down to about 10% by letting a noob beat on me then I wreck them, but I still didn't get it. Maybe they need to be under a certain percentage also, I'm not sure.

These achievements are retarded as ****. They force me to try to play like an *******. :\
 
IIRC, "I'm not dead yet!" requires you to be lower than 10% and the opponent higher than 60% or 80%.

For "Turtle!", not much advice I can give except keep going at it. I assume Ranked Match is the one where it searches for an opponent? Therefore impossible to ask for someone for help?
 
i just did the turtle one recently, all i did was waiting for a ranked match with a opponent of low "trueskill", then i picked Sub-zero......i was like spamming him with ice clones and iceball to get him freeze to consume time....and hit them occasionally to make them think im really fighting so they dont quit.....also i used enhanced iceball periodically to consume even more time and hit them in the last second of defreezing......i was playing versus Cyrax i guess the opponent did not knew how Cyrax teleportation well...i guess i was lucky too :)
 
I got turtle against a guy who tried to uppercut me but I would just smoke away and towards across the stage. EX when he's too close and I fear he might hit me while I smoke past him. After the game he sent me "fag". xD

I haven't got the other one. I thought I needed to have 10% and then beat the other guy while he's got 100% but it's nice to hear I don't need to let myself get beaten up for 30 seconds. Maybe does the opponent simply need to have more than half than his life when you get to 10%.

you must have 10% or less and oponent at least 50%. you got the achievement when you win a round in that way.
if you have no luck in the legit way you can always ask the other guy if want to exchange some achievement, not all ppl online are aS$holes ;)

Even though these achievements are lame as hell, I still want to get them legit. I don't boost any achievements. I've tried boosting achievements before, it's not gratifying at all. But thanks for the replies everyone.
 
yeah, they are two boring achievements to accomplish, I've tried, without sucess, some players know that you are trying purposely and just quit ............
 
Turtle is a pretty easy one to get. I just havent taken the time to get it yet XD. But for Im not dead yet Ive gotten it in KoTH, but that doesnt count and in ranked matches I put on my try hard pants so I dont let noobs beat on me. That achievement Ill probably get legit playing against a guy where the match comes down to a block hit. But Im not really willing to waste my time with those two when I still havent gotten my kung fu is strong. O_O

can you get turtle in koth? i thought ranked only? the ranked achievements are the worst ****ing thing on any game ever, i dont know why they thought of them, all i need are these two ten wins in ranked and my kung fu is stronger. Im starting to accept that i shouldnt waste so much time attempting to get pointless trophies
 
idk of the round clock in tag and 1v1 is different, but I got the turtle trophy by doing ranked tag match. luckily the person was a noob and had no idea how to play...so I just sat there til he came to me and then i just uppercuted them away. did a couple teleports here and there to stay away from him. got the trophy with ease
