The next thing to be banned in Australia...

Just saw this story here

Bring out the angry mob! :The_Villagers: Now, Southern Australia is trying to ban the uploading of violent images. Fatalities, anyone? Fanmade art for MK? This is now getting ridiculous!! :hmpf:

I know this story only applies to filming of violent acts, but it could expand.

Thanks. After reading the thing, I think they mean violence as in real violence and not just fake violence that we see in movies and in video games.

I realize that, but if someone posts a montage of themselves doing fatalities for MK9 characters, would they try to use this new law to go after you? They already want to ban the game MK, but what about images or videos? Just trying to use this as an example.

So if there was a violent image or video, what would happen if you accidentally see it. Would you get arrested for that or something?

I don't think so, not by how some of the wording reads. Currently they are addressing the individuals that upload the violent media, and also in the instance of people knowingly letting said uploading individuals use their internet connected devices to do so--first party letting uploading second party to use first party's pc.
