Well, Remember. The only problem with them putting it in the endings is that all endings aren't cannon.
Just a few things to keep in mind:
*Ed Boon is the ultimate troll. This information, at least some of it, could have been fake.
*The demo leaks are at least 2 months old. I believe someone said it was 8 weeks old on March 8.
*Information can and probably will change.
*If, in fact, younger Sub gets automated, I have faith that they will actually end up turning him back.

Frost was recruited by Sub-Zero in the previous games, therefore, this will change. I'm not saying she won't be in, I'm just saying the way it may happen will be different. However, Hydra could try to take over the Lin Kuei, then try to restore Sub-Zero.

Since Sub gets turned cyborg, he never takes back the Lin Kuei from Sektor. Sektor stays in power (thus never having to create the Tekunin). Frost was recruited by Sub-Zero in the previous games, therefore, this will change. I'm not saying she won't be in, I'm just saying the way it may happen will be different. However, Hydra could try to take over the Lin Kuei, then try to restore Sub-Zero.

Conjecture: Master, I beleive it is possible that she might be saved/found by Sub Zero and then raised/trained to have powers similar to his.

And it's an AK-47 referance. He's an assassin droid who starts his sentences with what he is saying (Musing, Conjecture, Surprised Statement!, stuff like that), and always refers to humans as "Meatbags"

I meant no disrespect. Yeah, she's a cryomancer as well. Perhaps they find each other or something.. It's possible. As for what is canon so far:

After Sub-Zero became Grand Master of the Lin Kuei clan, he held a tournament in order to recruit strong warriors. The victor was Frost, whose exceptional skills impressed him. Breaking Lin Kuei tradition, Sub-Zero took her as his protegé and trained her personally. With his assistance, her ability to focus her freezing power increased. However, as her skills grew, so did her arrogance. Sub-Zero was unable to teach her humility.

Because we have no information about Frost prior to this, there are endless possibilities of where she could come from. Hell, she could even be Bi Han and Kuai Liang's sister. Lol.
