Sub-Zero Theory

That part was awful. There was nothing important or climatic about how Ermac removed his arms. Just completely random and pointless. They should of kept the original Jax arms backstory where he chose to put those arms over his own.

I think Ed Boon mentioned in Kabal's Biokard that they're looking for characters that are deceptively disabled: Kabal, Kenshi and now we can Jax because apparently an other feel-good disabled character getting implants and getting back at the guys who disabled him was much more interesting that a guy whose sense of duty and responsibility is so strong that he'd risk his life getting experimental bionic implants to help him save Earthrealm.

Anyway, speaking of design cues, I'd love to see Sub Zero's frozen arms again, I thought that it was by far one of the coolest (Har-Har-Har) design elements in MK's History.

Frozen arms were cool. Or maybe instead of permanent ice arms have them get brighter during a long combo or if youre winning. Then if youre losing they fade.

Jax arms were better this way. Made for a better story and made him seem less insecure.

I like the idea of his arms getting more and more frosty the longer a combo goes. And not just his arms but his entire body for those who can pull off ridiculous combos.

Ok so i know as of yet it hasn't been confirmed as to which Sub Zero we are dealing with, but just out of curiosity, did they abandon the whole scar over his right eye concept. If i recall it was the distinguished marking which separated the Sub-Zero's (Elder/Younger) from one another. IMO i wish they don't over look it because i thought it was a small subtle change.

The Sub-Zero from MK3 had the scar because he refused to be automated. It was the way the Lin Kuei marked him for death/assassination.

Oh i never knew that, i thought the whole MK:SM with Kung Lao slicing his face thinking it was the Elder Sub-Zero.

I think the whole marked for death reason is a hell of a lot better story!

Something I did not know. Interesting.

"The ninja returns- unmasked. Betrayed by his own clan, the Lin Kuei, he broke sacred codes of honor by leaving his clan and is marked for death. But unlike the ninja of old, his pursuers comes as machines. He must not only defend himself against the Outworld menace, but he must also elude his soulless assassins."

I loved it. I thought he was just going to snap his bones. But when they straight up exploded? I think that was the only time in the story where I was actually surprised lol.

Dude! No way! That scene was glorious. I remember squealing like a little fan girl when it happened. I thought it was way more interesting than Jax deciding to do it to himself.

"Marked for death" only meant he had a bounty on his head. Scorpion's MK1 ending had that exact same phrase, and I don't recall him ever having a scar, even in his living form. Kuai Liang had to have gotten that scar in kombat. MKSM shows it was Kung Lao, but that can't be taken at face value because very little of MKSM is considered canon.

On Mortal Kombat 3 & Mortal Kombat Deadly Alliance Sub-Zero was unmasked,I would say he looks better with the mask than without the mask.
His facial textures and facial animations were terrible in DA. I preferred his alternate costume over his primary, simply for that reason.

'marked for death can have alot of different meanings. I think it just made him wanted by the lin kuei I like to think he was given the scar by kung lao

sub zero is back mofos

your sub zero avatar has limited ankle mobility. He needs supplementary exercises to improve ankle mobility.

How can you be a Kano fan when he is in the shit tier for MK9?

He's bottom tier after the patch because people constantly b****ed and complained that "Wahhh, he's too hard."
So, NRS listened to those fvcktards rather than the non-casual top players, and thus Kano got nerfed to hell.

Not to mention, Sonya and Sub-Zero were a "great help" when Jax was about to get his arms obliterated. Just a cringe-worthy scene overall.

Ok, i know Kano isn't a fan favorite. But ever since MK1, I loved his design and had a decent back story. Which i honestly think should come to an end in MKX, therefore concluding Kano's tenure in MK making room for the new Kombatants.
Alsdo i like Kano simply bc i can!

Well said, they can't let the man shine so they muck him up a bit!

It wouldn't have been so bad if Ermac actually destroyed Jax's arms quickly, instead they made the scene drag on and on... :???:

I don't know. It just wasn't impactful enough for me. Seemed too random. If it had been done during the Tarkatan attack, it would flow better.
