Stryker and Shao Kahn Fatality Revealed

I'm probably late to the party, but I don't know if these were already posted.

Kabal - He uses his hookswords to pull out his opponent's intestines before explicitly impaling his opponent on two spikes.

Quan Chi - He rips his opponent's leg off, resulting in a big blood spill. As they lie on the ground, he beats them with the severed leg for a period of time!

Jade - She kicks her opponent in the air, takes out her staff, sticks it in the ground and her opponent lands on it through their back and through their chest. Then Jade tears the head off, and plants it on the stick!

Baraka - He lodges his blade attached to his wrist and impales it into the opponent's stomach, and hoists them above his head. He spins them around and decapitates and dismembers them, accompanies by a massive blood spray!

It also says something about a 15 hour story mode?

Haha, true man. I was thinking a ten hour story at most. Remember that 3 hours of that is probably going to be cutscenes, though. Which is not a bad thing. :D

I'm kinda happy that by description Kabal is finally getting a good (sounding) fatality. He was always kinda lacking in that department. His scare to death fatality was pretty much novelty, and I thought the head inflation thingie was ok, but he needs a new one.
 
Here is the report but since it reveals so much I am putting the image file thumbnails up so you don't have to spoil it if you don't want to. I will also be waiting to update my sig in case some people don't want to know the characters it reveals. Although I'm sure if you are in this thread you already know. :razz:


 
I thought Kabal's fatalities from MK3 didn't need to be included in MK9 also. It's nice to hear he's got at least one new fatality that sounds kick ass.
 
It's ironic, it seems that report was written by a guy who was praising the game and really wanting to play it, lol.

I'm a little worried that they keep mentioning "25 characters" in it though. Does that just mean the unlocked at the start of the game?
 
It is possible Shao Kahn isn't playable. Maybe the bosses perform fatalities after beating you, rather than just knocking you out. If Shao Kahn is playable and greatly overpowered as all bosses are, that sucks and hurts online play. It ruined Armageddon.

I wouldn't fret about the number of characters on the starting roster. Because the math is off one way or another IMO it just about confirms that some of the characters will be unlockable(not DLC, but unlockable).

even though there is only 25 slots, you don't take into account how other unlockable people were chosen liek blaze and mokap where you press R1 and x or something over raiden, secret characters could be chosen this way such as smoke, also it could mean 25 slots you start with then need to unlock more, i doubt shao kahn will be playable straight away and i am betting you unlock gor and kintaro
 
I personally feel that "25" is a typo. That report is very poorly written, with grammatical errors all over the place.

Considering the voice sample leaks and new character revelations in the report, the number of confirmed characters simply doesn't match the "25" from the report. I'm imagining 26 characters will be available from the beginning, and there will be many unlockables!

I don't feel this confirms Shao Khan being playable. I've always thought it would be so cool if the bosses could perform fatalities after beating the piss out of me. His fatality sounds really awesome!

Kabal's fatality sounds super sweet! Disemboweling with his weapons! So cool!

Baraka's fatality sounds goretastic! I hope he looks up with a menacing grin as blood rains onto his face. That would be amazing.

I feel really bad for Australia, but my excitement for the game has just increased tenfold.
 
I hope you all are right about unlocking more slots for the Roster. Smoke has not been mentioned at all. I'm hoping he's an unlock-able, it would suck to have to wait for DLC to play as Smoke. All these leaks about the game are really making me nervous about Smoke having a slot in the final game. . .

Smoke is definately in, he was in the voice file leak which is 100% reliable.
