So, who'll be going for 1000+ for MK? (360)

I absolutely love playing online but I don't like online achievements. They force people to play in stupid ways and rage about things. Like in Halo 3 there was an achievement to run over someone while in this ATV called a mongoose, so people were just trying to do that all game instead of playing normally, and they would rage quit if someone else took the vehicle.

I guess some online achievements are fine. Like play x number of online matches, and stuff like that.

This. Once it starts getting into "x wins in a row" and "win without jumping" limiting your ability to play against online opponents, that's when it gets rather annoying.

I agree, but these are simply accumulative. I plan on KOTH'ing with my crew, so we will spam each other with points anyway, but those achievements are the only sketchy ones I see for MK's online set. The rest you will get by playing the game online. This thing will sell millions of copies, so the millions who play it online will not all be amazing; I can boot up SSF4 and still pull off 3 wins out of 10 matches, and A) I suck, and B) MK will sell more copies, making it easier to find someone to beat up.

i've completed about 16 games gamer score and plan to do the same with mk. lke most people i cannot stand online multiplayer achievments as other people can obviously ruin it for you. with mk though the game comes first and i just want to enjoy it for a month or so before i start hunting for achievements.

1000 online fights isn't too hard. I'm sure I'd have way more than 1000 in SF4.

Talking about 1000 Gamerscore for the game, not 1000 online fights, dude.

I got 100% for UMK3, Doom 1, Worms 2, and Fight Night Round 3.
But admittedly they weren't that hard. I've been trying to 100% S/SF4
but that is near impossible without an arcade stick.

Taking a shot and guessing you're talking about the Combo Trials here, and I did them for both SF4 and SSF4 with a controller, with ease. So yeah it can be done. It's all pretty much timing. The Kombo Challenges for MK vs DC were way harder if you ask me.

Some of the online ones are retarded, like the respect points or whatever it was. I hate online achievements that force you to need the help of other players. I'll be getting all of the achievements though, legit. I see a lot of people boosting the 10 consecutive wins though.

Well, it's 10 Ranked win in a row, and will be near impossible to boost since the game will have a Ranked match making system, you won't be able to play against your friends in Ranked unless you get lucky and the matchmaking pairs you up. Especially with how many people are going to be playing online.

I agree. Online-only achievements that are too specific force people to play a certain way, they should be broad and not that difficult to complete as opposed to offline ones that should be very challenging.

I hate the stupid achievements that make you play out of your element as well, and there are a few of them in this new MK. Few might be a pain in the ass but other then that all looks good.

I have 100% gamer score on Mega Man 9, N+, and Super Meat Boy. that being said i know if you want an achievement persistence is key and if i enjoy this mk half as much as im anticipating I most likely will get the 100%. But i wont beat myself up over it if i don't because i really don't care, i just use the achievements as an excuses to play a game i love playing more.

Me and my roommate will play the HELL out of the game in local VS, once we get all of the offline achievements we'll move to the online ones (from what little I remember from the spoiled achievements most of the hard ones are offline, are they not?)

I'm goin all in with this one, I'm an achievement whore anywhos (No Boostin') and yeah, my question is, does anyone know ALL the achievements for the game? I saw some, but there are some secret ones too....

I don't really care for achievements, the only game I went close to 1000 is Splatterhouse, and those were very easy...
But this time I'll try a little harder to get as many achievements as possible, and the fact I'll be playing the hell out of it will surely helps.

For sure I'll unlock the whole Krypt and will try to go as high as possible into the Challenge Tower, even if I must admit those crazy modes like armless kombat and stuff don't exactly turn me on. Yeah, it's funny but will become tedious very fast IMO.

I'm all for the story mode and arcade ladder, and then online like mad!

I'll try to get a decent percent of 'em, but I don't think I'll go for 1K. Why?

- Not enough time on my hands
- The online achievements.. Well, they just look awful.

Yeah probably, I really want to completely master this game before the next MK comes out (if there is one). The only game I have ever 1000+'d is Halo 3. So much time put into that game...

I dont play for the achievements. I just play through the game and if an achievement pops up, cool, but I dont lose sleep trying to get them all.
