Should I Buy Dragon Age II?

So i thought about buying Dragon Age II after i saw that there is a sale on it at GAME.uk for 20£...
I'm a big fan of role playing games especially like The Witcher or The Elder Scrolls, but i never played Dragon Age Origins and i dont know if this game series are as good as people say they are.
So what do you say? I have a pretty limited budget, so should i buy Dragon Age II or should i wait and buy Skyrim or Duke Nukem or something eles? Can someone also tell me the pro's and con's of Dragon Age II?

i was also wondering if dragonage 2 is a good game to buy. from what i know it kinda like mass effect but with the whole knights n swords n magic sorta stuff.

If you can afford them both, I would suggest to buy both because they are great games. If I had to choose, I would wait for Skyrim. From what I heard DA 2 story is not that great compared to the original DA (Which I finished 7 times for the platinium, and never got bored of it). I am expecting much from Skyrim on the other hand.
Bethesda will utilize a brand new graphic engine (Oblivion was mind blowing already). You will also have new abilities such as mastering a Dragon's force after slaying it etc... (yes the Dragons are back in the Elder Scrolls! They were lacking in Oblivion).
It's a matter of taste, the final decision will be yours, choose wisely ;).

Do you have a PS3?
Get Demon's Souls, by far the best game of that genre in this generation.

I love this game but it can be hard for 15 years old. I agree that it's one of the best games for PS3 out there.

I LOVE Dragon Age: Origins. Its one of the only games that sucked me into the story line. I put 400+ hours into it.
When they announced DA2 I nearly fainted. But once gameplay was released and saw that they added Hawke in there it really disappointed me.

Now after playing it, it was decent at best. I played throught it once and once was enough. The gameplay is better than DA: Origins and it runs A LOT smoother than the console ports than DAO does but the story lacks a lot compared to DAO. I say get DAO first before DA2.

As I write this I'm wearing my Dragon Age 2 shirt :p

Thanks guys, from what i also heared Dragon Age Origins is superior to Dragon Age II, so some of my friends also suggested me to wait for Skyrim. (I know there will be dragons, i saw the IGN review the game looks brilliant!)
And this game "Demon's Soul" is a PS3 exclusive? Because i got Xbox 360... And what do you mean by "it can be hard for 15 years old"?

So i think i'll wait for the new games that were shown at E3... Thanks for helping guys!

Yeah Demon Souls is a PS3 exclusive. And I think what he means is that Demon Souls is one of the hardest (if not the hardest) RPG's on the PS3.

Oh ok, so i guess i can't play this game.
Also, don't look at me as a little kid that isn't capable of taking a challenge. I won so many video game contests (contests that adult gamers were at). Belive me, i might be a "little kid" compared to all of you guys, but im as good and even better in video games as all of you. :)

What I mean is that Demon's souls is meant to please old school RPG gamers. An era where the slightest mistake would lead to a Game Over. And that's how Demon's souls works. A dreadling (the easiest enemy in the game, wielding a broken sword) can easily 1 hit you. And if you die (and you will die alot) you need to restart from the beggining of the stage because you can't save in between. To make things even more complicated, your currency is the amount of souls you collect after defeating your enemies (the souls are used to buy better weapons, potions, lvl up your character, etc...). After collecting souls through your walkthrough, if you die a bloodstain appears on the floor. This bloodstain contains all your souls. You need to start the level again and click on the bloodstain to recuperate your lost souls. If during your attempt to find the bloodstain you die again, the bloodstain dissapears for ever and all your progress is lost. You can spend 4 hours playing and end up with nothing, it can be very annoying and many have transplanted their joypad in the TV due to the excessive frustration lol. When you finish the game once, you need to play it again to unlock various stuff, the thing is new game + is 150% more difficult than the first walkthrough...
Besides that the graphics are very realistic and the gameplay is unique. I just love that game. I am currently at New Game +++.
If you need some more infos about it, I wrote a Review @ Gamespot, you can click on the following link to read it:
