[RUMOR] 4 DLC Characters Revealed

If there will be a second wave then I wouldn't be surprised if the first one is mostly or all male characters and then the second is mostly or all female characters
 
I wouldn't put it past Boon to put false hints in the netcode. Keep in mind this is the man who showed Rain on title screen of UMK3 to get make more money... Genius

Agreed.
The difference is that Ed Boon DID put Rain into UMK3, on Sega Genesis.

RLY though. Proof? I think it's a big mistake if they put him as DLC when NRS stated multiple times they wanted to make this it's own franchise.
 
You do not question C-Sword. He was the primary source for all of our Injustice info, gave us reveals before they officially came out and has yet to be wrong. If the dude says Scorp is in the game, he's in the game.

So?

Just because Kratos is in MK9, doesn't make MK9 a God of War game.

It's just a guest character that we all pretty much expected. I'm not a fan of the idea because I know people will whore him left and right, but it's not a terrible idea.

It's just whatever for me.
 
Only way I'm against it, is if they use his MK9 costume. That'd be just straight up lazy. Give him a new costume, don't just port him.

I just don't think it's a good idea to put a guest in a debut game while in hopes it becomes a series. The first rumor (Zod, Batgirl, and Scorpion) has been horribly received.

Shame if they did put Scorpion in because there goes online. They couldn't just let the "Flawless Victory" requirements and Batman's "Get Down Here!" be the only nod to MK?
 
I wont speak to the characters mentioned, but I will say that the list contains a few possible characters I've come up with based on some investigation I've done and rumors in the FGC. I do hope and assume they are not final. I'd personally not like to see a MK guest character because it goes against everything they've said about this "not being a Mortal Kombat" game.

But I will say this for certain, because I've heard the rumors going around since this leak, but THERE IS NOT CHARACTER DLC ON THE DISC. There are some of the pre-order skins on the disc, but that's expected since it ships with it and requires no download upon DLC activation. But there are not ANY "yet to be announced" DLC on the disc at all in any form. Lobo and the other characters will have to be downloaded at a later point.

How can I promise this? Well I've looked at the contents of both discs (haven't looked at Wii U disc yet) and here's all the character files on the disc.

Each CHAR_NAME_SKIN.xxx file is for one of the characters, they get a different _SKIN file for each of the various available skins. I haven't done enough digging to figure out what A, C, D, E & V are but they likely map to a certain skin set. I do assume that V is villain for Regime skin though.

All this said though, I have yet to see a human readable INI file as indicated in this "leak". All the files on the disc and in the demo are compressed/encrypted. I know some people are working towards extracting the art asset contents, but I don't have time to do that myself.
 
Turn Scorpion into a boy scout hero.

I'm wondering about moves more than outfits. If he is about same as in MK9 that would seem lazy, and they could just as well add Sub, Kitana, Raiden and whoever else as well. Mortal Kombat Universe DLC lol.
 
The ONLY way I'd be alright with Scorpion in this game is if he's a yellow lantern and has new moves using constructs, which would work great for him. If they are lazy and port him then that's on them for being big douches. I think Boon had clearly shown that he doesn't really care what characters we want, and if he does the list is a sham other than Lobo and we will get to vote.
