Roster Speculation

Alright


So if the comic is in between mk9 and MKX and we have certain fighters still alive...we can assume that Johnny Cage and Sonya will be in the main roster because they are alive at least 15 to 20 years later.Also the game will cover the Netherrealm war which they obviously survive .so yea at this point we can add those two in..im sure we will have younger versions to choose from .also it's safe to say whatever they look like in the comic will be very very close to how they will appear in the game .

MKX begins with the Netherrealm War, presumably, and this comic takes place after the War. So, actually, the comic takes place during the MKX timespan. MK9 doesn't come into it (not yet at least).

And just because Sonya and Johnny are alive in 15 years doesn't mean they're on the main roster. It's possible the 15 year period has very few story mode chapters in it, and that the majority of the chapters are in 20-25 years, when they might very well be dead. Not likely, but possible. This is just one possible scenario. Their inclusion is still mere speculation. You can be personally convinced, but the fact of the matter is they are not confirmed.

They do survive the Netherrealm War, though; you got that right. So do Raiden and Kano, apparently. And Scorpion actually betters himself because of it. Not too sure about what happened with Sub and Quan, though; therein lie the biggest mysteries.

IMO, Quan Chi probably escaped the NetherRealm war given that he's alive in MKX, and he's been known to be a slippery villain who always finds a way to survive.
Plus, Kitana is still in the same place that she was in MK9 (aka dead, according to Kittlesen), so that also leads me to believe that Quan Chi is still alive after the NetherRealm wars.
Maybe he gets killed in the MKX game instead.
The souls would all be freed (including Kitana) if Quan Chi was dead in the comics, no?
My hope is that Sub-Zero and Scorpion catch up to him and give him what he deserves, in MKX.

Also, what about these characters below as secret boss characters kinda like the secret bosses of Oni, Evil Ryu, Gouken, Akuma in USF4, but the secret bosses below will be unplayable secret bosses:

Going from what I've read on MKO that Andrew Kishino on Twitter said that he has not been asked to do voice work for MKX. I guess Shang Tsung is out of the picture for now. Same with Cyrax and Sektor since their voice actors mention that NRS didn't ask them to return. I doubt they would get new voice actors when there is no need too. It's easier to use the same voice cast.
 
Yeah, I think NRS would rather try to get the old VAs back before going for any new ones; Scorpion, Raiden, and Kano all have their MK9 voices, after all.

Also speaking of VAs, I have seen Tom Choi (voice of Liu Kang) and Ken Lally (voice of Smoke, Goro, and Shinnok) give replies on twitter that pretty much spell out that they're in. Although neither is exactly a surprise.
 
I like the voice cast from MKvsDCU and MK9, they can act for once unlike the Midway voice actors we had in MK4 and MKDA - MKA. The voice acting in the older games did suck but there was a few good voices in them in my opinion. I hope Ken Lally will give us a more sinister Shinnok then what we got in MK4.

Wow way to bury Killer instinct, Microsoft. I seriously hate what they have done to KI. I absolutely loved Season One but Season Two has been nothing but disappointment month after month

All the hard work I put in to unlock things, just gone once season two came out and you have to unlock everything with their crappy new XP leveling system. The shitty new characters who feel incredibly rushed and had no thought put into them at all like Sadira. Telling us that story mode is coming with season two and then they have the balls to tell us "Story mode will be released after all characters are released", Season One characters being completely neglected and given the stupid story mode unlockable picture thing. Only two characters at launch as opposed to season one that had 6.. and I could go on and on.
 
Jim Miller (Sub-Zero - Kuai Liang) was a nice actor. It was totally matching Sub-Zero. He was in MK9 and MKvsDC. I wonder why did they got a new one now? The new one is nice too, though.

Agreed.
This NetherRealm war takes place shortly after MK9, and
Spoiler:
Sonya and Johnny are both shown in issue #2 of the comic.

On top of that (according to MK9 and Injustice), being playable in the story mode normally = playable in the game (and I see those 2 being playable in story mode), which also goes with the various heavy hints by NRS employees and German GamePro.
IMO, those 2 are playable in MKX.
