Ripoff

Why is it that the people with XBoxes received a more complete game than the PS2 users? That's just downright unfair and wrong. I pre-ordered my MKA 2 MONTHS in advance. Little did I know that those 2 months were used to improve the XBOX version ONLY. Why is it that MY created characters are not allowed to have the freedom that someone's character on an XBox can have? Why is it that there are so many bugs and glitches on MY version of the game. I think Midway should fix ALL of this crap and send everyone who bought MKA for the PS2 a new COMPLETE version like everyone on XBox got. I can't afford an XBox. I have bills to pay. If anyone else is pissed about this, don't hesitate to post here.

It's just a game. I have a PS2 as well and I got my money's worth. Besides, Sony as a company sucks. Microsoft has the money to persuade people. Save up, get the Nintendo Wii, and get Armageddon for that. That's my plan!

whats so much better in the xbox version then the ps2 version? Last time i checked, xboxers didnt have the helmet i used for my caw in their game. hmmm.

Man this is like saying why is my PS2 game box black when the XBox game box is green! They're gonna be different, just accept it. If you hate it that much Gamestop and EB Games sell XBox's for 109.99, and Mortal Kombat for 39.99. I know you said you had bills to pay and all but I'm sure about 150 dollars isn't going to bankrupt anyone with an average job.

Oh and I'm sure somewhere in the universe somebody is complaining about how they have an XBox and didn't get a collector's edition Mortal Kombat. So maybe it's all a checks and balances afterall. XBox has a better game, PS2 has more Kontent.

That's right, I used a K to spell that word!

I just don't understand it is all. I mean, why leave out something THAT noticeable? The major reason I bought this game, other than my undying love for Mortal Kombat, was the KAK feature and now I find out that I can't use it to its full potential JUST BECAUSE I don't have an XBox? That IS a ripoff to me. ...and I'm not a fan of XBox, so I'm not going to buy one. I believe it's a waste of money when I have a PS2 and all the games I want to play are on the PS2.

EDIT: Good to see you again, Sub-Zero. :)

WHY are you *****ing so much? The only difference between PS2 and Xbox is that Xbox has crisper graphics, that's it! If anything Xbox owners got shafted becuase of no Premium Edition.

I hate PS2 and it's unrelentless attempt to make every game every homeless person on the street can think of.

I only bought a PS2 so I could play Shoalin Monks and Armageddon. Other than that it's going to become another small table in my room once the Wii launches and MKA comes out on that.

I guess I'm just griping to gripe. The game is completly awesome to me other than that. PS2 ain't so bad. I used to hate on it too, until I found out how many good fighting games were on it. I may be persuaded to buy a Wii, just not this year. I'll probably wait for my end of year bonus or something, but I think I'll just use it for bills. MKA is all I need for now. ...and I guess the Fatality thing doesn't bother me that much, only the reasoning behind it. Anyway, I think I've vented enough.

games are different for different systems because the company owning the console strikes up a deal with the game developer for exclusive or different content. It's just the way the game industry works. Like when Nintendo requested sweat instead of blood for MK1 on the SNES, whereas the Genesis version kept the blood. Or how Dante from Devil May Cry was in PS2 version of Viewtiful Joe, but not in the Gamecube version. Or how Goro and Shao Kahn were in Gamecube version of MKDA, and not in the others. And lets not forget the console-specific exclusive characters for the Soul Caliber series. That's just the way it is. It keeps the idea of competition alive, keeps people wanting an Xbox over a PS2, or a Gamecube over an Xbox, or whatever.

1. Yes, I have the Premium Edition of MK:A for PS2.

2. I see what you're saying, but I've actually written Midway about this. Something about the limitations of PS2 or some crap. Regardless, they seemed kind of embarrassed about it and said that Boon & team "are working on it" Maybe a patch in the near future?

3. I don't pay a T.V. bill. I pay REAL bills.

silly

What he said. I have both the PS2 and Xbox versions and the only difference I spotted was in graphics and the Premium Edition. =|

You get a metal box for it, you get a bonus DVD, you get UMK3 on the game disc and some little fake animation cell with a fake Ed Boon sig. That's about it... Oh, and no transitions for created characters. :P

At least you NTSC PS2 owners are able to play the limited edition of MK: A.
Only the regular PS2 version has been released in PAL regions. No limited edition, nor Xbox versions for my fellow Europeans. (Unless they own an NTSC PS2 or Xbox that is.)

Embarrassed?:hmmmm:
They wern't embarrassed about the mess up, They were embarrassed about being too lazy or too cheap to fix the ps2 version!!!
