Reptile's dash.. again

Is there ANYTHING you can do to stop it online? It gets me everytime and I can't even counter it with a fast move.

It just... has.. so much... priority.. online /sigh

Sweep or D+Kicks maybe? I dont know, Im usually the one playing Reptile...
 
I usually Just Throw sias when i see it comming,But i really dont see many reptiles anymore D:
 
Lucky you, that's all I get is Reptile's lately. It's their fall back, especialy against me

I'll assume you main Mileena so I think a suitable punish for reptile's dash would be a roll. But if you want to minimize your chances of getting punished, it's best to go with a d1

and if you do main Mileena, she destroys Reptile...Horribly

Sais keep him out and he has a hard time using normal or EN forceball to create a safejump scenario after a knockdown due to you being able to teleport on wakeup. You can punish forceballs on reaction with teleport. Plus wakeup roll can be used as a get off me move if reptile keeps trying to maintain pressure. Seems at least a 6-4 for Mileena.

D+1? Not D+4? It's pretty fast and covers twice the space that D+1 does. I dunno, though. Not a Mileena player so take what I say with a grain of salt.

Well d1 is universally the fastest attack in every characters' arsenal ranging from about 6-7 frames I think. So I think a d1 will be the safest bet for punishing online although idk if a d4 will work seeing as how mileena's is pretty fast and has amazing range

My ball ate his dash 75% of the time.
I switched to Kitana and her ferocious Down+1. Gets him everytime. The button lag and delay kills me online with his dash. But since her down+1 is doing me good lately, I switch to her against Raiden's and Reptile's and not having that much of a problem anymore.
 
try 1,1, roll

her 1 is semi fast. i wouldnt try anything else besides maybe just a roll since her normals are pretty slow

you could also try to d+4 to get distance then quick teleport kick because im sure the dash is coming again once you get him out
 
I main reptile and since he got nerfed I get uppercutted a lot after a blocked dash, or thrown....just block cause the dash is coming.
 
If the lag isn't too bad, a throw will solve everything. Otherwise, use pokes since they are the fastest attacks an the game for every character. Use pokes and jump, attack, or defend, depending on how agressive your opponent is.
For example, Kitana. After her D1 the opponent can:
Jump back (counter with air fan)
Keep blocking (keep pressure them)
Attack you (use fan lift)

With Mileena after using D4:
Jump back (air sai)
Keep blocking (keep pressure, get close, use a throw, etc.)
Attack (Rollball)
 
stand within dash distance of him at all times, this will severely reduce reptiles mobility and momentum as he will not be able to safely use dash for movement. at which point mileena destroys him anyways.

you want a safe way, uppercut, his dash is punishable by fast specials, pokes, and uppercuts.
 
For me it's either F+2, D3 to cross up, or try my HARDEST to block it for a throw. Usually the third option. Reptile's delay after the blocked dash is pretty fast though so you have to be very quick with the throw.
