Putting Up With Gamespy's Shit tier Servers?!

How the hell do you guys do it?
I never seem to get the first hits, my buttons don't correctly register,
my actions are ALWAYS delayed, etc. IT'S RIDICULOUS AND SAD THAT THEY NEVER FIXED THIS BULLSHIT.
I also want to know why the devs would turn to Gamespy again anyways, they couldn't host small games decently
so what makes them think such a huge and widely known release would get the online it deserves?
Sad to think Call of Duty probably has better servers than this.

This needs to be a topic on Boon's Twitter. Not dlc characters, but a wave of complaints demanding that Gamespy no longer provide their mediocre services.

I'm kinda use to the lag. Mine hasn't been too damn bad when I'm playing against people off my friend's list

NRS doesn't care about MK9's online. They have moved on to other interest and making threads complaining about it will do nothing. Offline is the only way to play period.

It gets so boring once you've finished everything. :???:

Online bothers me alot, but once I spend a few hours on the button delay it doesn't bother me. What bothers me is how different the game is, things I punish 100% of the time that require semi strict timing to reaction, no longer work and either become prediction, or you need to be Jesus to react.

Didn't we already have this discussion in another thread lol. I agree that online play throws making reads on your opponent out the window and like I stated in the other thread it destroys the games fundamentals. That being said I still play online mainly to troll on the message boards ''I lag so you can win.'' or my personal favorite ''I hide behind gamespy.'' The online community is a joke.but if you do go online only play with your friends.

I think you mean online play throws making "reactions" out the window.

you do plenty of reading...

plenty. more than you should have to.

If I make a read on a jump in punch (for example) and go for a anti air standing 2 but the move does not connect because my input delays than it's safe to say that read was unreliable. You have to see the move and make the read before you can react to it but because of input lag in order for me to connect that anti air I would have to predict it WAY before the move was executed (at least a second sometimes more!!)even though the game makes you think you have the time to "react" but that's not the case. Kenshi has the best standing 2 in the game but I can't anti air anyone for shit because of it!

we have a different definition of reading.

I see "reacting to" jump with standing 2 is reacting.

Doing a NJP cuz you're "pretty sure they are gonna jump but not 100%" is a read.

Reads = educated guesses (usually based on their previous patterns)

Reaction = things like garanteed anti-airs. that you can do 100% of the time accurately if you are in nuetral position and you see a jump.

hitconfirming is a reaction.

Doing a wake up cuz I expect you to be aggressive is a read.

Those are my definitions.

so now that we got that out of the way :D

we 100% agree so who cares.

Online is so horrible, I can barely get out any combos or react to anything and then just get blown up by "Kung Lao Derp". Im addicted though so i always end up playing anyway :/.

Imagine being Kenshi and getting beat by a Sheeva and all she did was spam air stomps but you can't counter anything. What makes me laugh more than anything is some people who think online is legit. I wish I could meet everyone of these ''amazing players '' in a offline tournament.

Christ online isnt my problem anymore, since my old TV died my new 3D Smart TV has made nearly all gaming impossible. Game mode helps but i wish i had my old TV back :(

No seriously played it for the first time in a while as I wanna get back into fighters but online sucks ass. Id rather just stick to playing friends offline who don't play fighters so i can beat them, feed my own ego and be able to say i play offline because its what the pros do.

Yeah. The only reason other players win online is usually the lag that the other player has to bear with, in which is sorta unbearable. If someone turns the tide, it's automatic rage quit before I can actually pull fatalities.

Anyways, definitely best if facing someone during an offline city-wide tournament to see if they can put their money where their mouth is.
