Netcode Fix Patch?

The patch is coming around the same time as Skarlet, which seems like it's never coming. I've never seen such gross hype for a DLC fighter in my life. I mean there's even an E3 booth just for Skarlet. But the patch is way.... wayy.. waaayyy overdue.

just hopped online and was disgusted with the lag. its not even competitive at times. soemetimes when you combo too far and whiffing, the immense slowdown lets the opponent react much quicker to your mistakes. this game is all about timing, and the lag has just crippled this game online. a month and a half after release and the game is still unplayable online. i see alot of this with games and its unacceptable. they better fix it quick before i trade it in.

Wait, I don't get it...a few hours after the patch on Tues, they'll be another hotfix? WTF. Why don't they just include it in the patch?

No, it's coming out on Tuesday the 7th.

Well patches have to go through a certification process so those changes probably didn't make it into the patch in time.

I finally got a chance to play online and all I have to say is no matter how good this game is locally, if they don't fix the net code this game is a HUGE flop.

Besides the netcode "fix", I'm super excited for the Sindel buffs.

buffs could mean less when the games online presence at its core is completely quadrapalegic at the moment.

i remember bfbc2 being crippled for 6 months plus. they changed the way people connected with eachother around the world, consolidating servers to dedicated regions and the game still runs smooth to this day from that point foward. it didnt even require a patch. i have a feeling the same thing is going on here.

This pretty much sums it up. What's the point of crafting and constantly tweaking a fighter, if you can't play the damn thing online? There's much more to a fighter than catering to about 60 people in a tournament scene. Why not appease the rest of us, and let us enjoy an online experience that NRS intended to create and deliver?

There's no excuse for why we haven't received a lag fix yet, and if today's rumors are any indication, we have to wait even longer for the fix.

I just can say, people should not buy any DLC until a Patch is out which fixes at least the damn online mode. Please dont support that, please.

Um... I have had no where near enough lag problems online to complain about it.

And I love how people are complaining about something... that is being worked on. Sorry but when you develop something, it's hard to test it to it's max potential with just staff members. Sometimes you have to realize when these games get released and they are online, that you are going to technically be a beta tester for the online, and if there are any problems it will be fixed.

and LOL @ only 60 people at tournament.... maybe a local tournament. Major tournaments I've seen hit from 400-2k people. And that is just the players who could afford to go.

no one expects you to understand a problem your not having. the second half of your post i dont know what the hell is going on there.

My real beef is with the people complaining and threatening to "QUIT" a game that the developers have said MORE THAN ONCE int he past they are working on it. Can't freaking atleast wait for that patch? another reason I pointed that out is maybe you guys need to look into your own connection speed >.>

I'm just sick of hearing all the crying for a Patch that is coming to FIX your problem. That's like crying about your washing machine not working, Someone is on the way to fix it.. but you start discussing throwing it out in the dumpster before the damn mechanic can even show up.

I was also pointing out that you shouldn't complain about online on a game that relatively just came out not too long ago. Alot of companies not just NRS had online problems upon opening day. Quit your complaining, and either wait to see if the change helps you, if it doesn't leave. I'm not going to miss anyone who is so impatient and can't stop complaining about something that is already a known problem and steps have already been taken to fix it.

The 2nd part was reference to someone complaining about saying NRS is catering to tournament players OVER the casuals. and he said something outlandish as if only 60 people in the world go to tournaments.

Our problem? It is theirs as well. NRS said that online play would be virtually lag free before the game had been released, so they've kind of brought this on themselves. This is something they can potentially lose sales over, so I would say it is their problem.

Personally, I don't have issues with lag outside of KOTH, but I would like to be able to enjoy a lag-free KOTH for longer than 5 minutes. And no, the problem isn't with my connection.

Comparing a washing machine to a video game is kind of silly, by the way. But if you were sold a washing machine after being guaranteed that it would function properly and it doesn't, you as a customer have a right to complain about it, as does everyone who has purchased this game after being sold on the idea that the game would have a great netcode.

I can't play online at all with their current online set up, so a patch to fix that is kind of the biggest deal for me. How long should I patiently wait before I am allowed to get a little bit annoyed that possibly the main aspect of the game is unavailable to me?

I am loving this return to MK and I am sadly over-excited about Skarlett and other dlc characters, but there's only so much I can play against the machine before it gets boring.
