so just because i like kratos i suck.
he is a spit image of a more combo friendly baraka.
i'm good with them jc,kabal are top teir Quan chi and kratos are at least mid teir players.
hay smoke i'm fine with kratos but Quan chi is atleast a mid teir player he just take's time to learn his pop up's just like shang tsung he takes time to learn.
oh and dude i am a vary good player so don't insult or make fun of my game cuse i can show how good i'am

I'm just messing with ya man, If you are maining Quan than thats very cool. He was one of my first choice to play with before the game came out but I personally don't like him just because the fact that his increase dmg/def special is random. If it was set where you can choose what you want than that would be a different story.
But yeah kratos is a character that people won't worry about because he isn't allowed in tournament so it would be quite pointless to add him in a tier list.
The important thing is that you are supporting mk9 =)

exactly, some people really go overboard.
and its now safe to say kung lao is in the high tier section =)
However after the next patch that could all change. (Another reason why its to earlier to say a tier list) lol

When it comes to the 5 characters I've training with and playing as for hours (Kung Lao, Nightwolf, Ermac, Kano and Sindel), I can say I do not disagree much with this tie list for them. I feel Kung Lao is indisputably top-tier, Nightwolf and Ermac I'd consider high-tiers, Kano and Sindel low-tiers (top - high - mid - low - bottom). We still have A LOT to play before we come to an opinion for this and the patches may change some things.

even a pro tierlist is NOT indicative of what character is better, but rather which ones are more played. hence why someone made a tier list with csz so low on the bracket, when he is a very strong character, it was because nobody was playing him.

Thank you for your insight. I don't feel so stoopid for making a not so serious tier list. And I also agree a lot more play time and tournys before solid conclusions are met.
I think Mileena and kabal are god tier. Mileena has nasty wake up attacks, disgusting unblockable combos like that popup kick she has and im pretty sure the ball roll isnt standing blockable cause i been hit alot by it. Shes just too nasty in the hands of a PRO. Block standing or crouching and she will eat you regardless. She has everything, wake up attacks, offensive 50%+ combos, teleports, and she can come from nowhere.
Kabal is my main. I destroy ppl with him. He can do 10-15 hit combos without much effort online.
Its hard to tell who is the top tier this early in the game because I think 95% of the characters are deadly in the right hands.
BUT HOWEVER.... I can already tell who is low tier in the game.
Sheeva and Baraka are low tier.
Sheeva lacks any real decent combos and shes kind of slow. Her ground stomp has such a delay worse then subzeros ground freeze and she just sucks.
Baraka has like 20 hit combos and they do like such little bit of damage lol. his damage is very garbage currently but I have a feeling they will adjust his combo damage cause its not on to par with any other character. He is way too weak. He does have cool (safe) special moves though ironically.
They are the only 2 characters that fall in low tier right now as they are the only garbage characters I seen in the game no matter who uses them.
Shang can dish out 70% combos but he is very difficult to master. He is for expert players only imo. Plus you need to know the morphing characters moves too when you soul steal and continue your combo chain.

I would like to stick up for Kabal a bit if I could. I think a lot of these rankings fail to take into account how familiar the user is with the playing system. I bought the game on Sunday, so I'm no expert here. However, I pumped a lot of quarters into MK 1, 2, and 3 back in the day.
For a new guy like myself, Kabal is the real deal. He has projectile attacks that roll on the ground, hit chest height and can be used while jumping. His spinning move immobilizes opponents much like a Scorpion chain or a Sub-Zero freeze. This is extremely helpful when you're about to do an x-ray attack and are afraid of it being blocked. Another huge benefit is that his hooks provide some range for combo attacks. He's also pretty fast, and his combos easily do in the mid 20's damage.
Maybe after getting better with other players Kabal won't be as great, but for now he is the total package.

I feel like scorpion is good at high mid tier because he has one of the fastest projectile/immobilize specials, a ranged unblockable good for turtles and mixups, an arguably fast teleport good for linking combos and juggling, and a short range low hit special that makes for good mixup game.
His basic combos are very accessible as well as his special move inputs making him very accessible. Hes fast and does damn good damage with plenty of effective bnb combos and mixups.
Scorpion is stacked imo. and belongs high mid but I also feel Kabal should be higher as well as Cage.

I don't think Scorpion is high tier at all. He is mid. His teleport, though faster than Ermac's, is definately slower than Smoke's. His hell move is very punishable with a teleport character, air projectile characters, hell, jump over it and Scorpion is wide opened. His spear is his best move but the time it takes for him to recover can be deadly. Combo-wise, he's okay, not a combo beast such as Sub-Zero or Kung Lao, but the worst thing is that Scorpion doesn't do that much damage (Ermac with the same or even fewer amout of hits can be more deadly). Not very convinced at this point. He's not a bad character to play as, but in my mind he's not even near the top.
If your opponent cannot teleport of any sort then Kabal will destroy him with projectiles unless he is subzero. People barely block the ground saw by habit and they take damage. The fireball kabal has is one of the safest projectiles in the game. When a non teleporting person trys to jump towards you or dash they will get eaten a nomad dash.
Nomad Dash can be canceled making it a nice safe special.
His combos midscreen are simple and nasty and can chip 30% easily but when you wall corner someone, they better use a combo breaker or get eaten.
RANK RANGE:
Far Range, Kabal wins easily in trading projectiles on MOST characters unless they have a teleport hit move or (iceball, net)
Mid Range: Can start some nasty combos with kabal can also nomad dash during a kombo to finish the chain and start a new combo when opponent got juggled too many times.
Close Range: Safe triple jab combo followed by an unblockable tornado slam.
Whenever opponent falls on the ground, you can ground saw them and it will almost always land making MOST opponents wake-up attacks useless and crappy.
WAKE-UP
Kabal has a very fast ground saw wake up attack.
X-RAY.
Can Land his x-ray at any time if opponent jumps and you can land it safely too after a nomad dash if you are afriad it will whiff on a block.
Kabal is a beast period. I got 80 wins over losses and I use kabal almost always but alot of my losses are from when I wasn't using kabal.
