Mortal Monday Video: Scorpion Gameplay Demonstration

It's Monday, that means we get another new <a href="http://www.trmk.org/games/mortal_kombat_2011">Mortal Kombat (2011)</a> video. This time it's a <b>Scorpion</b> gameplay demonstration video. It features some great special moves along with some of his combos. This is what the official Press Release from <a href="http://www.netherrealm.com">NetherRealm Studios</a> had to say about the new video.

Scorpion has re-emerged from hell once again… and he is ready to battle. Today, Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment and NetherRealm Studios are sharing a new video featuring Scorpion and some of his killer moves while he takes on an array of Mortal Kombat warriors. The video showcases some of his signature attacks as well as his ability to link special moves together to create more deadly combos.

Mortal Kombat is the most brutal installment of the landmark fighting game to date for release on the PlayStation 3 computer entertainment system and Xbox 360 video game and entertainment system from Microsoft in 2011. The game is being developed by the newly re-named NetherRealm Studios, led by Mortal Kombat creator and creative director Ed Boon.

<b>Update 4:44pm CDT</b> The Official <a href="http://www.themortalkombat.com">Mortal Kombat Website</a> timer has expired and five new screenshots/wallpapers have been posted. Each of them features a various character beating up on poor Johnny Cage. Click the button "Brutal Things Come To Those Who Wait!" on the left on each character page to access the screenshots.

Sorry that you feel this way. But the video was released exclusively to Gamespot for the weekend. We weren't allowed to post it up until today when it was given to everyone else.
 
I love the shot of Scorpion dragging poor Johnny's bloodied carcass across the ground.

Agreed.

I also like the shot of Sub Zero freezing Johnny's feet.
 
I'm gonna put myself to a coma and wake up the day before it's release.
this game is gonna get freaking awesome :hail:
scorpion is absolute king!!
 
Scorpion is the real balls of the franchise, not that cheap character Liu Kang. All I know is that they better test the hell out of this new game before they release it to remove and correct any cheat glitches and character infinites. Give every character equal recovery time and speed so that pepole can pick characters based on visual and character preference rather than choosing a character because they have certain slight advantages over other characters in speed and move sets. I hope Hector and crew learned their lesson from the Flash, Superman, and Raiden in MK VS DC Universe, that game was an online cheating disaster.
