It seems as though Mortal Kombat will be present at the upcoming Pax East gaming convention. The twitter Community Manager has been hinting at the game's presence for the past week. The event is located in Boston, Massachusetts and will be held on March 11th - 13th. I believe this will be the next big "media blowout"; I would expect Sindel, Jade, Jax, Sonya, and Ermac to all be playable. We'll see...

So has MK been confirmed to being present at PAX? I have a hotel lined up and the plane ticket will be no problem, plus I need a vacation and always wanted to visit Boston. Any idea how these conventions work and what to expect from PAX? Main question is there any confirmation? Assuming that it was at PAXwest that this why would it not be presented again in the East. This FAQ was useful for anyone else interested.

nothings been confirmed yet. But those tweets only lead to one answer ya know? I really dont think you are wasting your time be lining up your hotel and plane ticket

Hotel is not a problem, I work for a hotel, so that means comp nights (free nights anywhere) my hotel is about 7 mins from the convention center (not a bad cab ride). $55 for a 3 day pass (A night at the bar). The plane ticket is a little high but, got my W2 coming soon so there is extra cash there. I just want to know if MK will be there, I'd love to go for the experience but being a lifelong fan since 92, I want to make sure it is there. Can Pat or Tim tweet these people to get an answer within 2 days?
 
Anyone else from TRMK going? I will probably do a solo flight and take lots of video, that would be my plan. Actually my plan is to be selfish and keep it all for myself. But for the **** of it I am really considering it. Tim, I believe you are the best source for this information and you have the tools to find this out, it will be there?
 
Fellas, stop getting your panties in a bunch about "supporting" this game, that isnt even out yet, at some game trade show. Your all being silly if you want to turn it into a big dick contest.

Just in 2010 alone, i've been to about 10 tourneys for UMK3, in New Jersey, Philly, Cleveland, Cincinnati as well as several tourneys here in Columbus, including the most godlike event every year, Season's Beatings. And I am just one piece of that pie. MANY MANY guys i know travel a TON more than i do for these games.

So dont worry about it PRE-release. Worry about how you'll help me support if OFFLINE, at events all over the country when the game drops.


PS- assuming the game isnt a giant flaming turd, of course.
