Has anyone ever seen this, there used to be this MK1 game at a local putt putt, that you could do endless string combo's with chartacers ie... with sub zero you could freeze, then jump kick, quickly jump kick again, standing high punch, jump kick, slide, standing low punch, uppercut. Has anyone ever seen or know what version of MK this miight be???? I am in the market for a MK machine but only this version..... Any info would help...

TIA

Travis

Yeah, it was a hacked version of MK. I forget what it was called, but I think it had "turbo" in the title. I've never played it, but being that it's a hacked version of MK, I don't think you'll be able to find it too easily. Hell even MAME doesn't have that version.

There's also hacked versions of MK2, with various different changes. Those you can find on MAME.

it is true that it is a glitch cuzthis happened when i was facin my bro and did this a thousand times :?

It's not a glitch, it's a hacked MK1 arcade board.

It's called Mortal Kombo Kombat. I've never played it though . I would love to play it to. Here is a website so you guys can see it http://www.vm68.com/mkromhacks/. My friend saw the game in California a few years ago. He noticed the Mk 1 arcade machine but on the game it had a sign saying Mortal Kombo Kombat on it. There where some guys playing it at the time so he watched them play and he said they did all kinds of weird stuff in the game. And he pretty much said it was the coolest MK 1 game he had ever seen.

At one stage there were a lot of cartridges containing hacked verisons of games floating around. Spiderman, Mortal kombat and many more I can't remember right now have had hacked verisons. The law doesn't like these because they break copyright rules. Plus a few of the hacked verisons screwed over peeps consoles.

One of the most famous cases was sonic 5 - I'm not going to go on about this. I used to have a link to this I found on the net. Basically someone took another game and added sonic 1's sprites to it.

Though I must admit, I haven't heard of this verison of MK 1. Though I do admit it sounds fun.

I think MK II Challenger is the best MK II version

any details on this please? 8)

MK2 Challenger is a hacked version of MK2. Basically the name says it all, it's a more challenging version of the original game (usually you start off the fight ladder with a hidden character or sub-boss). It also enables the Dead Pool fatality to be done with a normal uppercut and lets you move around after you connect with it, allowing you to hit them multiple times and do more uppercuts. You can actually play that version on MAME as well as a few other MK2 hacks.
