Mokap (DLC) Thread - "Lights, Camera, Action"

I considered Mokap the funniest extra character ever. People hated losing to him.
Would you like to see a return of this jokester, or not see him at all?
 
Absolutely..not.

This reboot of Mortal Kombat needs to be serious (for the most part). Johnny Cage gives the perfect dash of humor/charisma needed.

Mokap doesn't even have a strong enough/potential backstory for me to even consider wanting him in MK9. He's a terrible concept, a motion capture actor? No thanks.

He's just too much of a joke.
 
Ill do this to Boon if he realeses Mokap as DLC.

mokap is simply a pathetic excuse for a character. he shouldnt have been created. the sin has been done, and he have been created. so he shouldnt be in another game.
 
Not a big fan of joke characters that have zero potential for serious inclusion. Rain was a joke, but he could be really cool if some work was done on his backstory and such. Mokap will always be too ridiculous to be taken seriously.
 
Like I said before: Cameo in MK10 as Johnny Cage's bumbling assistant who's always screwing up. That's all this crap character is good for.
 
If another joke character appears, that must be Boraicho, in worst of the cases, i dont wanna mokap.

I don't even think that kind of role would be suited for a game with a serious storyline. That sounds more like the kind of characters you would find in those old '90s, video game-based cartoons (Scratch and Grounder in Adventures of Sonic the Hedgehog come to mind), not for a series like MK. I will say this once, and I may say this again: Johnny Cage and Jax are the only comic relief characters that MK needs.

And do you remember what actually *happened* to Rain in that movie? For those who have purged all memory of Annihilation from their minds:

He shows up for two seconds in the opening. The next time he's seen, he's pleading for Shao Kahn not to kick his ass due to a tactical screw up. Kahn proceeds to uppercut him so hard that his death has to be relived twice over: once when he himself falls into the fire pit, and again when Baraka falls into it.


Apparently the writers thought he was a joke too when you look at the crap that went down in that film.

Having Mokap in the game would be terrible, but hey we already got Kratos why not throw in another character who doesn't quite belong

I think they put Rain in Annihilation just for the name drop, Fans of the game apreciate any cameo they can get. I remember being pissed off as a kid because we didn't get to see him fight.

there is one little difference between kratos and mokap that you have not mentioned...
kratos is the god of war, he has the sword of the olympus, the head of medusa, those blade things, the bow of apollo and he is ****ing awsome and badass.
mokap is a stupid idea of a motion picture guy.
also kratos is the main character of one of maybe the most popular games in the world, and nobody ever heard about mokap.
