I still wish it became a Rated R movie but i guess its a progress and should be really dark n gritty. Also very happy the story main character is JAX, got tire of seeing Liu Kang as the main guy in other MK media.

I think they meant that waiting til 2017 would be a good thing since this sounds more assy than anything I can imagine.

I don't know what to think about this. On one hand, I didn't like the direction the movie trailer seemed to want to go in since it would result in the butchering of the mystical mythos, but on the other hand, this expanded series would give them more options and opportunity to tell more of the story of characters.

I am excited of the idea of Jax being the main character. It was kind of frustrating with the movie trailer that seemed to imply casting them off to the side as merely introduction characters to Scorpion's story.

This kicks ass. Also it's a smarter move to make it a series rather than a movie as this vision clearly separated fans. No one was expecting a series so its not like it's taking away from anyone. Let's hope the budget allows it to maintain the look they were going for.

Edit: I found this...

In the animated film Mortal Kombat: The Journey Begins, Goro confronts his older brother Durak for a jeweled egg in which the winner was to tribute to their father Gorbak. He ends up losing the fight after hanging from a cliff while Durak tries to help him up. Goro betrays his brother and knocks him into the pit.

Man I am so excited for this. I love how the directer made the clip in June. He is also a fan of MK which helps. KABAL is going to be in this series also. I am a big fan already. Think god for Warner picking up the Mk rights, I don't think any other company would of treated Mk this well. They are also giving the MK team time to polish the game to make it the best it can be. Warner knows what's up. They are making all the right decisions.

Yes. A million times yes. MK: Conquest was lame and boring and way too child-friendly. At least with this one we'd get to see some brutal Fatalities and overall violence, the way anything that is MK should be.
 
At least Conquest tried to respect the original mythos unlike these producers that are changing things to suit what they want MK to be... Violence isn't something unfounded anymore, so I would choose story over violence any time. Though I would agree presentation for Conquest was dull, but I think that was more because of limited resources.
 
Eh, not happy about Jax being the main character (mostly because I didn't like the actor's portrayal of him).

Still, this should be interesting and fun. Just gotta learn to separate it from the games. Much like the movie.

But why would they list Durak over Goro? That's weird.

Im glad in a senss its dark and gritty not like the holly wood shit movies...Im also glad it doesnt focus on lui kang coz he is the most ovep layed generic boring pussy little ***** hero in mk...but then again...jax is nothing special either
