Did a search, and couldn't find this anywhere, so I'll start it here. Saw this on Ed's Twitter feed:

RT @Kyle_P_Brown Hey Ed, are there any secrets we may be able to unlock in the demo? Noobde: Secrets? Trojan horses? What the difference?

I decided to post this in the spoilers thread since a lot of info is hot topic right now. If this isn't right, any moderator can move it. Anyway, my thought on this is: Ed and Co. were probably expecting people to rip apart the code and placed a bunch of bogus info in there. Anyone else have an opinion/observation?
 
If they took the time to purposely put bogus information so that we could speculate the hell about it all, then screw them.

Ahahah! I'm wondering about Boon, like: "Hey guys, do you think the mk fans are looking at our fake database? Lol i'm going to eat my sh1t if someone did it." LOOL.
 
That's why I'm thinking that they expected it and want to see how much speculation would be generated with all these "spoilers" on the MK community.
 
Well you have to figure they know people would take apart the demo and examine everything, especially knowing what MK fans are like. I've read the bios and they seem pretty genuine though so I dunno. I'd like to think they were fake and put in to mess with us ... I'm just not sure they are!
 
I'm sorry, but I think you guys are deceiving yourselves. That document is huge. There's no way in hell they'd just write all that up for a joke. I feel for you guys that spoiled it for yourselves, but just be happy that Story is just one mode of the game. There's so much more to immerse yourself in.

But the thing is, why have all of that info about the full game in a demo? That's tons of data that won't be used at all. It does seem to me like they did that on purpose...

I'm not saying that everything is bogus, I'm just waiting to see for myself when the game's released. I have no regrets in reading any of the spoilers I have read. I love the whole mythos of MK, but knowing some things ahead of time isn't going to ruin my experience with class A game.

maybe they didnt want to take the time to write a new database for just the demo, it seems like a lot of info to me to be just made up. all plausible and mostly possible.
 
maybe .... I take Ed's statement with a "grain of salt" .....

Time is running out until the official release, so, I am pretty sure that NRS and Ed are busy as hell taking care of final details, as correcting bugs, doing final tests, reviewing all development, working in promotial stuffs, etc ....., too much work to pay attention, no justify in order to have to waste time "forging" fake stuff in a online demo .......

Chances are that all leaks are for real, and now Ed knowing that, he is trying to dissimulate NRS fault .... Ed seems to be a incredible guy, nice person, but, in first place, he is a business man too, so, pretty normal if he is trying to "defend" his MK game until the end.

For me, could be either "Fake" stuff NRS set up to us (what seems pointless and childish), in order to collect feedback results, or can be "Real Leak" that NRS forgot inside the demo content.
 
It may be half real, I think sections of it will be changed in the final version. (i.e some placeholder text, more reward for End Game?)

I agree that there is probably truth to what was in the file, but, at the same time, the developers have had some fun with the MK community in the past.
 
I think it's interesting that he said "Secrets? Trojan horses? What the difference?" - when asked if there were any secrets in the demo.........Why would he even bring up the term "Trojan Horse" .............A trojan horse is "planted" with the intent of it being found, only to reveal that nothing is what it seems! I personally think that we're being teased by them. Either way, it doesn't change my anticipation for the game release, or excitement of playing the demo.
 
Boon sent me a messagge where he says 50% of that infos are true. Other 50% are useless sh1t will change.

yep, make sense now. Maybe the version placed in demo is WIP, and since they are "refining" stuff, probably they have time to change somethings until final release. If they (NRS) take serious MK community, and they saw the impact of this huge leak on Internet, they will work hard to improve what people are thinking it's blatant ridiculous and weak, regarding the leaks.
