How do you actually UNLOCK babalities?

I own the krypt, I finished story, I demolished the challenge tower, and I put some (not all yet) fighters on the top of the arcade ladder. I even tried not losing a round on expert ladder and tag ladder.

Yet, I don't have them babalities and most of the stage fatalities and that second fatality of Kratos to be unlocked in a legitimate, hard-work earned manner. I resist using the online sources for that, but I'm at my limit. Gonna try finishing story mode on expert first, though it probably won't help.

Am I missing something? Or is learning them the old-fashioned external source way the only choice? Then why do they tease us with the possibilty to earn fatality inputs through effort if not all of them can be acquired?
 
If you refuse to use online / external sources, then figuring them out on your own is your only bet.

Oh yes, there is also that. No thanks. That would lead to offline rage/quit=)

I am just wandering if it is possible to learn the inputs as some kind of reward for some kind of achievement. Like maybe mastering someone. That's a long way to go though=)

No, only the regular fatalities are unlockable through a conventional means. Babalities, stage fatalities and classic fatalities have to be performed before they get "unlocked". So like Araknyd said, you can either check out the various guides we have here to get the inputs, or you can try to figure them out on your own.
 
Ok. I'm going to be very nice because I am nice and not like others who have this "figure it out yourself" attitude. First of all, look for inputs of babalities online (here in TRMK or in Gamefaqs). Next in ladder mode, DO NOT BLOCK any of the attacks your opponents use during battle. Then when it's time to finish them, go to jump distance and perform the input if you know you didn't block the attack. It should work and hope it helps. It worked for me. Good luck? ;-) (Note: I hate it when my teachers tell me to figure things out by myself when they don't do some kind of demonstration or some sort of guidance.)

eh i wouldnt trust that guide, i was putting in all the fatalities and babalities and id say every 1 out of 7 from that guide was the wrong input. maybe its fixed by now.

I used this guide to unlock the secret fatalities and the inputs worked fine. If you noticed errors, you can post them or PM a mod or admin so that he/she can rectify them. I didn't find any though.

they have probably fixed them by now but i was putting in every single fatality and babality, thats how i saw some errors lol

i actually used the trmk ones to unlock all the fatalitys since my KE Book was useless and all the trmk one where fine, i reckon its your problem doing the inputs

lol no im pretty sure i put them in "correct" and it was when the game was first released, like i said THEY PROBABLY FIXED IT BY NOW
 
to unlock a babality you simply have to perform one. You can get them online. and you must be 1 jump away doesnt work otherwise.
 
I think the last round you can't block at all. Once you win and "finish him" comes up get jump distance away from dazed opponent and put in button combination. Also they are supposed to be secrets so no you can not unlock them in krypt. Also if you play online use 1st controller and perform them online. They will save or go through the arcade ladder and perform them. Both ways save them in your move list.

do you have to do that no block thign to use them after that, or is this just to unlock them and once they ae unlocked you can do it any time you wish?

Always no blocking during the round if you want to babality at the end.
