Hector Sanchez Confirms DLC Article is WRONG

Well I wonder what's wrong about it then? That doesn't mean it's fake, because those renders are obviously real. They just might not be the first DLC pack, or it might not be that combination of characters.

But NRS really ****ed up with every single thing getting leaked, they fail so bad. haha

he's not excactly confirming but hinting instead or maybe even trolling just to keep us guessing. i never have and never will believe any leaks or tweets from the game developers until the game is out.

my bet is for Kintaro due to the tigerblood thingy

i have the picture of the magazine article... someone had to go to some great lengths to try and fake this if it is in fact "a ruse"

if anyone wants to see the pic, let me know and i'll pm it. got it from circus last night.

Or... maybe everybody is just getting over excited about every 'new' thing that comes out. We all just need to chill. The game will be out in less than a month.

I never thought the article was valid... because first off it's the end of March and it was the May edition? that's off. Not to mention some of the descriptions... don't sound like they would come from a serious article writer.

You guys are reading between the wrong lines trying to dissect everything NRS says, thus believing what everybody else says.

Well he didn't say what was wrong about it... they might still be DLC characters, or he could be made that Lady in Red is not the official name...or is there something wrong with one of the bios...it could be anything...

And Hans Lo confirms the DLC is right:

The only wrong information must be Kintaro, which Hector's "tigerblood" reference is for. Hans Lo didn't personally state he was DLC either, unlike the other two. It seemed strange that a boss character would be DLC anyway, even though it wasn't out of the question.

So basically, the article is real, Kenshi and Scarlet (official name now) are in, but Kintaro is probably not - maybe due to a misinterpretation, or a change in the decision.

PS: On second thoughts, since Hector said Kintaro wasn't for sale, then he may simply be a *free* DLC. That makes perfect sense to me actually.

Could somebody PM me the image of the article? I've heard about it and am frankly disappointed. I was hoping Kintaro would be on-disc, I do not want Kenshi (especially before Rain), and I think debuting a character through means of DLC is a terrible way of trying to get them established (those that don't pay for her probably won't acknowledge her existence).

so NR actually confirmed it was true but sanchez in saying that its incorrect. they just love to mind**** us dont they? Boon must be teaching them his ways -_-

What Hector is saying in a very badly articulated way is that Kintaro is not a part of the DLC. The other two will be released.

Well they (unfortunately) confirmed Kenshi and Scarlet as DLC. Hopefully it'll be Rain that's with them. Nothing really noted about Kintaro though, I'm going to continue to assume that he's in-game due to the code leak.

I don't know how is it possible to already announce the post-launch characters while the starting roster hasn't been officially revealed yet!
However, it makes a lot more sense now: Kintaro is still a boss and most likely playable/unlockable while the other two are DLCs.

I still believe the starting roster will be 25 UNLOCKED plus a number of slots for DLCs, secrets, unlocked etc.

Hector didn't say the whole article was wrong, he simply said "tigerbloodnotforsale" - which means that Kintaro is not for sale. Like I said in my edit of that post, I now think that Kintaro is a free DLC, not paid like the other two would be.

The other scenario is that Kintaro is not available at all, and since he wasn't personally mentioned by Hans Lo to begin with, there's no contradiction between Hector and him.

If this is true, then it would be safe to assume two things:
Kintaro is already on disc -and-
NRS is keeping their word about not making fans pay for something on disc
