You know. In the hands of GOOD artists and CREATIVE people, you can make any design work.
The story they gave her in MKX/MK11 was completely retarded. She barely joins the clan and then proceeds to treat Shirai Ryu like some mortal enemies, that she lost her friends to or fought against for years. Especially, knowing that she joined reborn clan and not the old one. She has no business being an Extremist.
Now if they made her into some sort of Power Hungry Zealot.... That's a different story. She becomes part of the clan, becomes fond of it, then her ideas clash with Sub-Zero and thanks to her actions Lin Kuei splits into two factions.
And THEN I can see a design of her becoming bald, as she etches Lin Kuei symbol into her forehead, to symbolize that SHE is Lin Kuei. Opposite of Sub Zero philosophy.
But nah. Let's make a retarded bald robot.

It's really not that hard.
In the first 4~5 chapters or so.......Great Kung Lao faces off against Goro, but since Shang Tsung isn't around this time because Liu Kang has purged him from the timeline, Goro isn't a salty turd and Firegod Liu, Goro and Great KL actually all become allies.
Great KL doesn't age because the MK Champion never ages.
Fast-forward 500 years (because NRS loves to do bullshit time skips) to where Firegod Liu and Great KL are telling the modern day warriors about this emerging new "threat" taking place....... viola. No characters needed to be cut.
I came up with that in 5 minutes and honestly wasn't being THAT creative with it.
That would be awesome if that's the case. Only bought the Series S last year, but if they're coming out with a disc based version of the Series S then I may consider upgrading to that for some older games that I didn't have before when I just had PS.

I really hope they'll actually use legacy skins to their fullest potential. And maybe assign certain variations to legacy skins in story mode. You can really clip characters with similar movesets together that way. I thought GRID/Cyborg for Injustice 2 and Bi-Han/Kuai (2011) were great ideas that weren't used to their full potentials yet.

Nah NRS are too stubborn for that. I see them going for the laziest option. The Multiverse B.S is all the rage in Hollywood/pop culture these days. I expect them to double down.

So my shit list about MK12....
- Shit as a Service (which means their Pentium 4 servers will crash even more)
- Multiverse (Capeshit)
- Timetravel (Capeshit)
- Crafting (WE WANT $$$)
- 2.5D (Why reinvent the wheel?)
- Will make sure all the characters play nothing like the previous iterations (Lets reinvent the wheel!)
- Even more RNG and MTX intensive (WE WANT THE FUCKING MONEY)
- Roster will be so fresh and so new, yet stay the same (passing the torch to the same people)
- Unreal Engine 3++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ (guys, it's as good as UE5, trust us!)
- AI Upscaled 16K YouTube videos (rest in pieces SSD)
- AI can now play in all modes (but not where MTX is involved, unless you want to buy a subscription for the self-learning AI DLC)
- Super heavy into E-Sports (you bet we'll do Sheeva 2.0!)
- Ultra mature and super respectful (Ed already secured an interview with Playboy regarding this)

At this point it would be the only thing convincing me to upgrade.
I suspect that Redfall and Starfield will both be made to run fine since it's native MS machines being focused on (Series X|S and Windows / PC), though.
My idea was pretty much a soft reboot, anyways, as what I guess could be called my "prediction."
Everything from MK11 is canon, but with FG Liu now having control of the timeline, some previously dead characters can live (like Smoke and Stryker) and characters that don't really age can be around for the 500 years prior few chapters.
Time travel shit.........................................it's the new Quan Chi scape-goat for previously dead or "missing" characters.
Fans sad that a character is dead?
No worries.....Liu Kang can pull them out of his ass and now they are there.
Klassic characters like Kano and Shang Tsung that got wiped from existence during MK11?
No worries..... Liu Kang forgot to kill their mothers prior to being conceived or they now have different fathers, and now they are there.
Kano now speaks Spanish because his father is from South America.
Cyax dead in MK11?
No worries..... With Liu Kang's timeline reset now his human version can exist again (with Cyborg version unlockable via story mode).
My biggest "prediction," though, is that I'll be getting this when the "Aftermath" or the "Ultimate" equivalent comes out. I got sick of playing NRS fighters online, since about half-way through MKX, and I'm done (in general) with paying for new games at these prices + DLC.
