Don't worry, people, MK has tradition to ressurect or find a way to bring characters back ..... some of the good guys, can be now, bad guys under the control of Quan Chi, until Raiden find a way to bring them back to the good side ....

Smoke in a technically way, cannot really die , and based in his bio/ending, I explain :

He died before, ressurected, and now, is not human, but a enenra, a half-human, half-demon, made of vapor and smoke. He is more or less "imortal"

Cyber Sub-Zero can be fixed and put in "work status" again, he can be destroyed, but, not die. His body is intact as far as I know.
