There are many threads out there complaining on the dark and realistic nature of the previous fatalities. How exactly would you want the new fatalities to come about? Think of ones that make you cringe. Get Kreative! And explain in great detail.

Ermac/Kenshi - I was thinking of the character using his telekinesis to stretch the opponent (no physical stretching, nothing like Quan Chi's neck stretch), and then slicing one side of the stomach causing the continuous stretching to rip the opponent into two (seen Helios in God of War III? Yeah, something like that). Intestines would come pouring out of the abdomen and other loose organs in the body.

Sub-Zero - The opponent desperately fights Sub-Zero back with their last strength but Sub-Zero sidesteps and grabs their arm (you can see the arm slowly freezing from the grip flowing towards the torso, opponent reacts). Sub-Zero snaps the arm at the elbow and opponent cries in pain. He then grips the opponent from the neck and freezes it, where he can then snap the head off the lifeless corpse.

Not too sure about the Sub-Zero one. No spine rip :/

mine would be for my favorite MK character- Sub zero.
1) He would kick the enemy at the knee, snapping it backwards. They would scream and fall down on their back, sub zero would walk up and stomp them in the face 3 times. Then while they're coughing up blood and teeth, sub would create a spike off of his hand out of ice(kinda like the predator spike) and stab them in the throat.

2) Sub would make ice shards rain down on the enemy. They would stumble around screaming with ice shards sticking out of them and blood dripping from the wounds. To finish it off, Sub would create one large shard that would fall straight down creating this effect: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kCgVReb585M

Kitana - Similar to MKvsDCU, she throws one fan at the stomach and one at the head. This brings the opponent to their knees and Kitana walks up to them and twists the fan impaled in the head like a valve, with the opponent very ineffectively fighting her back. She twists it hard enough to break the opponents neck, sneaking a peek of the skull being slightly separated into two halves in the process.

Not too sure whether its suitable for her though.

Liu Kang turns into a Realistic Detailed Dragon and then you get to choose "breath fire on them" or "bite them and swallow them whole". Its like a 2 part fatality, button combination to turn into the dragon, and then second button combination to choose outcome. Kinda like Sub-Zero's in MK2, you deep freeze them, and then choose what to do next.

Nitara- She turns into a bat, flies up to the neck, and starts chewing on it until the head falls off.

Tanya- She pulls out her Kobu Jutsu Tonfa Blades and slices each of the armpits of the opponent first. Next, she slits the throat. Then, slices the abdomen, making the intestines hang out. After that, she spin kicks the enemy's chest, making his arms, legs, head, and torso rip off from eachother. At the end, the head, arms, upper torso, and the lower extremities of the body can all be seen scattered all over the floor with blood and guts hanging out.

Jade- She plants her Bojustu diagonally on the ground with a pointy part of the stick facing the opponent. Next, Jade punches the victim towards the spike of the staff a couple of times. Then, she kicks his chest, making him get impaled on the Bojutsu. (I had a dream about her doing this fatality but I have nastier ideas.)

Sonya- She does a leg grab at the head and does a Frankensteiner at the opponent with that position. Next, she breaks her foe's neck and backflips away. Then, she does her Kiss of Death, incinerating her victim.

Sareena/Li Mei- First, Li Mei/Sareena punches the opponent's face. Next, she kicks her enemy at the groin, making him bend over. Then, she grabs his head and knees his face a couple of times. Once that is over, the opponent stands up, dazed with a bloody jacked up face. At the end, Sareena/Li Mei kicks the head off, decapitating the victim.

Mileena- She chews on the opponent's neck. Next, she grabs her enemy by the neck and rip off the spine and head. Then, she chews on the face like a chicken drumstick. At the end, she says, "Mmmmmmm heh heh heh..." and holds up the head while the spine hangs out of it.

Kitana- She pulls out her fans and slices the arms off first, then decapitates the opponent.

Sindel- She screams at the opponent, skinning off some parts of the body and face and also dismembering an arm off first. Then, she uses her hair to whip the enemy, scattering his remains all over the place.

Khameleon- She unmasks herself and goes mouth-to-mouth with the opponent. Then as Khameleon French Kisses the enemy's mouth, she also pukes out acid at the same time and starts to melt the opponent's intestines, lower extremities, and pretty soon, it also starts to melt the chest and up to the face.

Scorpion- He pulls out his Mugai Ryu and slices the opponent's arm off first. Next, he slices of the enemy's leg on the opposite side of the dismembered arm. Then, he uses his spear to slit the opponent's throat (making blood pour out of the neck). After that, he uses the spear to open up the victim's belly and rip out the intestines. The foe falls to the ground afterwards. Finally, Scorpion walks up to the head and crushes it with his feet.

Sub Zero- He freezes the opponent first. Then, he makes a huge block of ice high up in the air and makes it crush the frozen opponent.

Shang Tsung- He grabs the opponent on a choke hold and steals his/her soul (MK2 style). Then, he slams the rotten corpse to the ground, splattering it all over the floor.

Quan Chi- He does his own Teleport Stomps on the opponent, stomping on the body with each foot. Then, he jumps up, and finally uses both feet to stomp on the body, making the lower extremities rip apart from the torso.

Anyone- First, the winner tackles the opponent down to the ground. Then he/she rips out the kidneys, intestines, liver, ribs, lungs, bladder, stomach, and heart while the enemy lays on the ground screaming in pain. Lastly, the victor would rip out the head with the spine, lifting them up the the air while he/she is still on the victim's corpse.

If you guys think these first ideas of mine are sick, then "you ain't seen nuttin yet". Hopefully, ya'll like my ideas and I will be posting more that will be taken to the next level of disturbing.

Liu Kang would remove his headband and wrap it around the opponent's eyes, sort of like a blindfold. Liu Kang would then mutter "Ok, Peek!" which of course in in-game language means "WOBBADAGOOHH". The opponent would remove the blindfold, to reveal Liu Kang animalitied into a chinese dragon, which would then chew him in half circa Mk2.

For now we are going to have to assume MK9 is going to consist of only MK2 characters. The chances of Li Mei or Sareena making it into this game is pretty low.

Oh man, that's the kind of thing I'm talking about! Think if it were like Poseidon's death in GoW3! The fatality is in first person! You see yourself blinded, then you peek, then you see the dragon! It's a surprise, it's creative, it's a new take on an old favorite, it's got all the makings of a great fatality.

Here's one for Sub Zero:
Sub stands behind the opponent.
He creates 2 ice picks and stabs the opponent in the back of the neck like a Mafia wiseguy doing a hit. This almost severs the head.
He then jams both picks into the opponent's back just below the neck on either side of the spine and drags them all the way down to the lower back.
The opponent falls forward to the ground facing down. Sub slams his left foot into the lower back, separating the spine from the lower body.
He then places his right foot against the head, thrusts his hand into the opponent's back and tears out the spine.
Finally, he steps behind the opponents head, swinging the spine above his (Sub's) head, and with a one arm golf swing, he whacks the head at the camera.
The head slides down the 'lens' with a sickening meat sliding on glass sound. Once the head has slid out of view, the infamous "Fatality" appears with that oh so familiar voice.

Not that im knockin anyone's ideas here but i dont want to see fatalities like this where people are basically beating up a dead body. The first move in this one would be just about instant death. Don't get me wrong though, its better than doing several killing moves with the opponent still screaming...
Anyway i prefer things that all "build up" to the killing blow but everyone has their own opinion.

My second post of fatality ideas.

Kitana- She throws a fan at the opponent's groin, making the fan impale him there. The guy screams in agony and pain as he bends down. Then, Kitana walks up to him in a sultry manner and decapitates him.

Tanya- She pulls out her Kobu Jutsu tonfa blades and uses one blade to impale the opponent at the abdomen. Then, she lift's up the impaled enemy and uses the other blade to decapitate him.

Mileena- First, she uses her sais to stab the opponent multiple times on the chest and abdomen areas. Next, she stabs her enemy at the groin, making him bend down in pain. Then, she knees her foe's face hard, making him land on the ground on his back. After that, she jumps right on top of him while she is in a squating position, making her butt hit his body. And lastly, she impales both his eyes with her sais.

I get what your saying. To be truely sadistic in MK would mean to cause large amounts of pain before death. One could argue that would be the darkest way for the MK team to create the fatalities. However, this fatality has a certain serial killer mentality about it, with the humiliation angle. Sub's motivation would be to kill the guy in the first shot to prevent escape or retaliation. The rest is all humiliation of the opponents honor or reputation in MK tourney history. That, and instilling fear in future opponents would be the only reasons for him to rip out the spine at that point, to hit his head like a golf ball, not to beat up the body more. It is the equivalent of the famous conqueror Vlad 'The Impaler' setting the bodies and/or the heads of his enemies on spikes in the hundreds for the same reasons.

That being said, here's an alternate you might like better:
Sub stands in front of the opponent.
He creates an ice picks and stabs the opponent in the lower gut, and drags up the length of the gut to allow the intestines to fall out.
This causes the opponent to lurch forward allowing Sub to flip/roll along the opponent's back to get behind.
He then jams both picks into the opponent's back just below the neck on either side of the spine and drags them all the way down to the lower back.
The opponent falls forward to the ground facing down. Sub slams his left foot into the lower back, separating the spine from the lower body.
He then places his right foot against the head, thrusts his hand into the opponent's back and tears out the spine, this being the final death blow.
Finally, he steps behind the opponents head, swinging the spine above his (Sub's) head, and with a one arm golf swing, he whacks the head at the camera.
The head slides down the 'lens' with a sickening meat sliding on glass sound. Once the head has slid out of view, the infamous "Fatality" appears with that oh so familiar voice.

A version for both tastes.

Would you think that the head flying to the screen create some small humour factor? I might laugh when I see something hit the screen and then slowly slide off the camera. The part before is perfect though.

Post number 3 of fatality ideas.

Nitara/Mileena- She jumps on the opponent with her waist around her victim and chews on the neck (Mileena would unmask herself first though if she has a veil on). Then, Nitara/Mileena climbs up to the head and does a Frankensteiner (where she would do some kind of leg grab flip by the head) at the opponent. Once the body hits the ground, the head rips off the victim. (Think about Bloodrayne.)

Kano- Kano rips out the all the opponent's organs first. Next, he'd grab his foe by the hair (or head if the enemy is bald) and slices the throat of the victim with his knife. Once he does that, blood will pour out of the neck and then Kano rips out the head.

Jade- This fatality is a 3-part fatality. First, she pulls out her Bojutsu and uses it to poke the opponent multiple times at the chest and abdomen. Next, she'd stab her foe at his groin, making him bend down screaming in pain. Then, she impales the guy at his eye, making blood gush out of it. After that , there will be a timer that will require the player to perform a button sequence for the next step. If the buttons are not pressed correctly or if none were pressed, Jade would just pull her weapon out of the eye and it would still be considered a fatality. If successful, she'd flip him over her head and shoulders with her staff. Once he falls behind her, there will be a timer where the player would have to perform another certain button sequence for the final step in the fatality. If it fails, it's still considered a fatality but there is no next step in the finisher. If the the sequence was successful, Jade would jump up and impale the opponent's other eye on the ground with her Bo again. The victim's head would get pinned to the ground in the process with more blood gushing out.

Here are some of the nastiest fatality ideas I thought off. Get ready...

Nitara- First, she starts chewing on the opponent's neck. Next, she pulls out her Kama and strikes it at the enemy's groin. Then, she uses the Kama to deeply slice the foe from the groin to the belly, making him scream in pain. After that, Nitara rips out his intestine from the open wound and strangles him with the organ to death.

Tanya- First, she pulls out her Kobu Jutsu tonfa blades and uses them to slice off the arms with uppercut motions. Then, she does one strong uppercut motion with the blade, slicing the victim vertically in half from the bottom to the top.

Jade- First, she pulls out her Bojutsu and impales it at the opponent's guts. Next, she pulls her weapon out of the body and teleports behind the enemy. Then, she impales the victim in the butt through the head or shoulder like a skewer.

Mileena- First, she sweeps kicks her opponent of his feet. Next, she jumps up and tosses her sais at both of the enemy's arms, impaling them like nails to the ground. Then, she unmasks herself, laughing like a maniac. After that, she crawls up under her foe as the guy tries to kick her. Mileena dodges and blocks the kicks with ease and starts chewing the groin. The victim screams in agony and the winner starts chewing her way up from the belly to the head. As she did that, she rips out the organs including the intestines, heart, liver and others as she eats them as well. Once she is up to the head, she chews on the face and neck. At the end, she bites off the head and does her sexy victory pose while saying, "Mmmmmm heh heh heh..." like in MK Deception.

Sindel- First, she uses her hair grab her foe to slam him mutiple times to the ground. Next, she tosses her foe up in the air. Then, she screams at the enemy, skinning most of his body. After that, the remains fall on the ground and splatters all over the place.

Sonya- First, she punches her foe at the face. Next, she kicks him at the groin making the enemy bend down in pain. Then, she does a leg grab at the opponent's head. After that, Sonya performs a Frankensteiner and breaks the victim's neck. At the end, she pulls out her gun and shoots the loser at the head with a powerful gun just to make sure he is dead.

Kitana- First, she tosses her fan at the opponent's crotch, making him scream and bend down in pain. Next, she walks up to the enemy in a sultry manner, takes her fans off the impaled body part and French kisses him. Then, she pushes the loser to the ground, making him have a seizure. At the end, the victim explodes into pieces.

Kano- From his eye, a laser shoots at the opponent from head to toe, making the victim be split vertically in half.

Shang Tsung- First, he morphs into Kira and throws his knives at the opponent's feet. Next, he morphs into Sonya and does a Leg Grab around the waist, ripping the opponent's torso off. Then, he jumps up and stomps on the victim's head while stealing the soul as he also morphs back into himself.

What's with the groin? Remember, we don't want anybody laughing or smiling for a split second.

Anyway, my new ideas are:

Kano - Kano punches right through the opponent's torso and is shown gripping the heart from behind. He pulls his arm out and throws the heart away, or perhaps dropping it and stomping on it. Then he grabs the opponent by the neck and uses his eye laser to slice their top cranium off, where then the body become motionless. Kano then throws the opponent on the ground with the brains falling out as it hits the ground.
