Concerns

What are the concerns you have on this game?

I'm just worried that there might be too many unnecessary cut-scenes during the fighting, they may blow your mind the first time you see them, but you'll get tired of them eventually. You'd be surprised how tired I was to watch the characters jumped off the roof and hit the ground in SFXT to start the 2nd round. There seem to be a cut-scene after performing a super, one after clashing and one when you knock the opponent through something (wall, bricks, glass etc...)

Balance and hitboxes. This is a completely new game I hope they balance it correctly and if they don't I hope they wait at least 6 months to balance. Hitboxes were 3d in mk9 I hope moves triad consistently. I hope air dashes and double jumps work.

Very linear, basic & gimmicky gameplay.

There are only 3 attack buttons and an environmental button. So its pretty obvious these guys are going for flare over substance.
But I could very easily be proven wrong by seeing some more gameplay. As it is now though, I'm not looking to be too impressed by the gameplay. Still going to buy it for Harley though.

VF is probably one of the most technical fighting games and it only uses 3 attack buttons, but I still do have the same concern as you.

I have no high hopes for this game at all. As said i am concerned it will be just cut scenes in the gameplay. Overly long ones also. People complain about Xrays getting boring, i reckon this will be the same thing except longer.

I also worry about the environmental attacks, or whatever they are. Im almost certain these will be like the death traps in the 3D MK games, except without death.

I cant see it flowing properly. If they pull it off it will be awesome. Still going to take part in the game, i wont be able to resist just cos its developed by the MK team

I can just hear Gregg Millar or one of the IGN twerps biting review on this game allready..... I remember them criticizing Transformers War for Cybertron because of its dull color scheme been too grey. Never played the game but come on it Cybertron, whats it going to be? Flashing Pink?!?!?!

X-Rays and Special Moves probably = Free-fall Kombat in MKvsDC, and that's 1 of the least things that I hear people complaining about, when they complain about MKvsDC.
Looks like it takes the same amount of time.

I'm not too worried about it.

A breaker system.

I'm praying for this. Breakers are one of the best things MK9 brought to the table when compared to stupid fighting games like MvC3.

Injustice should have them as well.

Injustice already has breakers ya dungus.

But they're annoying as hell since you its another cinematic event.
Both players bet meter. If the offensive player bets the most he deals extra damage.
If the defensive player bets the most he nullifies all damage he was receiving.
If neither win then defensive player still takes damage, but players are blasted backwards and position is reset.

That's...yeah.

No.

Rather just break the damn combo and be done with it, sacrificing a good chunk of meter.

- possibly not having enough playable characters despite being based off of comics which have so many to use

- too much gimicks rather than good gameplay

-The new Breaker system.

-Dynamic Stages interfering with gameplay

-Unblockables with the new holding back to block system

-Casual friendly

the game has 3 attack buttons a environmental button and a character specific button like a drive button

I see.
Well there goes that complaint of mine.

But I still am waiting to see how this game balances out.
For all we know Flash could be like Kabal's bigger brother when it comes to jail strings and block infinites.
And against characters without projectiles, Superman is looking to be almost unbeatable.
His combos knock you almost full screen, he has an arsenal of projectiles and he could camp by the car waiting to slam it over your haed at any moment. But once again that complain could vanish with some more gameplay vidyas.

I haven't seen this anywhere, but one of the interviewers asks if there will be an option to play without the stage gimmicks.
Ed says he is definitely considering it. It isn't concrete, and it isn't a confirmation but it makes me happy

The stage crap is a huge focus in the game. I think with NRS making it the stage stuff will be tourney worthy and there will be no need for a map without stage stuff.

Since the game has FADC's I hope there are no block infinites.

I hope double jumping and air dashes work fluently.

I hope the training mode isn't a joke.

It's an over the top DC fighting game i know that going in, i guess my only concern is it getting preference over MK from WB at some point.

No Riddler.

I AM SUPER CONCERNED

Legit, though, I am.

well get ready to be dissapointed cause he's most likely not gonna be playable.

He's more of a mastermind rather than a fighter. Joker isnt a fighter either, however being a fan favorite they put him into MKvsDC. And they will most likely include him over Riddler in Injustice taking place as the oddball non-fighter type character. Having both is very unlikely.

(or maybe harley will fill the role of that character and neither joker or riddler will appear)
