Beating Baraka

Is there somthing im missing, im trying to impale Baraka when Raiden says to towards the end of the fight when he is weak as hell, I press Black button(xbox) and he blocks it every single time. Any tips?

I just kept swinging the sword on him. Eventually, he will block it and a "test your might" will come up with you and him struggling. Then you have to beat that and afterwards, you throw the sword at him and he won't block it since he's recovering. Repeat for the other sword.
 
Yeah. I normally just start pressing the black button right after I win the test your might. Make sure you are direced towards him with your analog stick or else you will throw it the other direction.
 
I don't think that is entirely true cause it took me close to an equal amount of time to get into a test your might with both swords. You can hit him from the back or after you block his last hit of his attack. Don't do know more than 3 hits in close range cause he does a blade lift on you and drops your sword.
