I check my message today and Amazon sent this to me..

"Mortal Kombat: Tournament Edition"
Estimated arrival date: April 26 2011 - April 30 2011

Are u serious? this game is in store on April 19th. I think this suck and not going to pay a lot of $ for 1 day shipping so wonder who else order from Amazon. All this for Reptile Human alternate skin, dam why couldn't he be Gamestop exclusive!

This is just stupid, though. What the hell did you expect when you ordered it online? Unless you pay extra for overnight shipping or whatever, this is what you get.

I'm just saying it suck for all of us who order from Amazon and I know I'm not the only one, I just couldn't stand playing Reptile as a lizard and he's going to be the 1st character I pick and practice with so yea guess this is what we all get who order online. pfttt!

I feel for you and everyone else who is potentially going to get it late but this is exactly the reason I didnt order one from Amazon.

This is just a mistake. My standard edition stated an estimated arrival of the 26th a couple days ago. I checked it this morning and it now properly listed April 19. Remember, Amazon initially had the game releasing on the 26th. I think they're just slow updating their systems. Then again, perhaps it's different for the KE and TE.

I want Reptile's klassic skin so I ordered the tournament addition from Amazon. So I have to wait what, 4-5 extra days? Big deal. I've been waiting for months and 5 days is not a big deal. Plus, I won't have to pay any tax. From Amazon, I definitely think the standard edition will be the only one with same day release arrival.

Ever since the MK twitter said all pre-order bonuses etc. would eventually be available for everyone as DLC, I don't think where you pre-order really matters. Sure, if you absolutely hate someone's outfit, getting a new right away may be convenient, but you also have alternate outfits to look froward to. In the end, I'd rather play the game the day it's released, and get Scorpion's attire and fatality, than to wait to play the game any longer than I have to and get someone else. That does suck though.

Jeez, has anyone ever preordered from Amazon before? It usually changes once they get them in stock. You'll have it before then. They don't owe release day delivery, but they are very good at prompt shipment...

To sum it up, RELAX! :)

Boy, that is bad news! And sorry to hear it. Sometime ago around the time soon after Street Fighter 4 was released, I ordered a Chun Li limited edition SF4 controller made by Madcatz for my Xbox 360 through Amazon. Those bastards took an extra 3 months to deliver it even after it was initially expected to arrive at my house! I was PISSED! So after that f--ked up experience, I told myself "never again, nope, not with Amazon".
I personally ordered mines through the GameStop literally right down the street from my pad. And guess what else......they are doing a "Midnight Release" just for Our beloved MK! Yeah, I agree with most of the other posters on here when they mentioned DLC. Cause going with Amazon, and even ordering THIS particular game online really just isn't worth the unnecessary stress. My condolences to you once again my friend.

i pre-ordered my KE at the gamestop literally 1 block away....and if they decide to do a midnight release i can drink and walk....im so excited....i didnt pre-order though for alternate skin though...i just wanted to make sure i could get the KE immediately and paying a little here and there is pretty nice.....its my first time ive ever pre-ordered a game...

I'm fairly sure they will have all the costumes as day one DLC for purchase and i'll certainly purchase them that way. I pre-ordered mine at a very popular Gamestop in my area as they tend to get alot of pre-orders. I'm keeping my fingers crossed for a Midnight release at that store.

I doubt they will be available Day 1. I can't think of a single game that has done something like this in the past and then had retailer-exclusives available that quickly. I am 100% sure they will be available eventually, but no way they are Day 1.

no way will all the costumes be available as DLC day 1.....i would assume maybe a month or two after release is when the DLC starts possibly longer....

You won't see Day 1 DLC for MK because that's developer suicide. People are already so polarized over the idea of paying for additional content... Imagine all the jaded comments you would see about NRS "holding back" from incorporating the skins into the game at launch so they could turn around and immediately charge you for them on day zero.
