A few questions about the story

I would like to know some things without having specific things spoiled for me, so PLEASE do not say specific story spoilers unless I ask for it.

- I was wondering if they explain anything about the tournament itself, like the rules and such. And do they explain why Outworld contestants are in the first tournament that weren't originally there? Do they explain that? Because they made it explicitly apparent that Shang Tsung could only bring Goro with him to Earthrealm to participate in MK 500 years ago. Did they just forgo that part?

- I heard a rumor that Liu Kang's supposed to die near the end, but that makes no sense because he's the champion of MK. Isn't he supposed to be immortal or at least compensated by the Elder Gods in some way? Or do they explain that or re-write that too?

- Do any villains actually die besides Motaro? (I don't want to know specifics, just if any others actually die...)

- Are prequels to MKI indicated to have possibly been re-written? (Sub-Zero Mythologies, Special Forces)

- Does Shinnok's amulet play a role in the story and is it implied if Quan Chi still actually has the real one or not?

- Is this game's end story being set up so this becomes "Scorpion/ Ninja" Kombat?

So far from the spoilers that i read , this is what i can say now.

-nothing extra about the tournament rules nor why other outworld (other than Tsung and Goro) contestants are there are explained.

-Liu kang doesnt become immortal after winning the first tournament. As a champion, he doesnt age, but surely can be killed (as seen in MkDA as well). Also the Eldar Gods play no part in the Mortal Kombat tournament.

-not seen any viliians dying other than motaro

-nothing much about the prequels exists, but the characted have a more fleshed out biography now.

-since the game deals with the time period between Mk1 and Mk3, nothing about the amulet is mentioned, but both shinock and quan chi have major roles to play.

-i dont really understand wht u mean by 'scorpion/ninja kombat'. ill clarify if u could explain

Although many of ur points arent covered, i find the story to be the best till now of any mk game or a fighting game as such. i really hope they continue with the current story in the next game. Also pls feel to correct me anyone, if i went wrong somewhere
 
Only thing I would like to add... about the prequels.

The only thing that changed were the events MK1-3.
It has led to many discussions about if the events prior to MK1-3 would change. Delia's prophecy from Armageddon, for instance.

I would bet, but it's never safe to assume with MK, that anything that happened prior to MK1 will stay the same.
