Since you're the "curator' of this Ermac thread, I would appreciate some basic strategies and practical combos? Please edit your original post to include such, for searching through all the pages can get exceedingly annoying. Here's my contribution:

Ermac's basic nature is the zone game. Force Push (has faster recovery than lift) to maintain spacing, keep those rushdown characters out. When playing a zoning character, general strategy is to be very wary of the teleport, you can even attempt to bait it by throwing out 1 or 2 force pushes then just blocking. Once they pass your "force push" comfortability, you can easily punish jump ins, blocked attacks, and whiffed moves with a lift to j.fp, teleport, dash, 2, 2, push(or xray) for decent damage. Remember not to get overzealous, Ermac by nature really IS a zoning character, you have to play the patience game. All you REALLY need for Ermac is good fundamentals, for getting a lift on them will deal at the least 25% damage(I've found the combo I listed is very easy to pull off consistently, you can go for big damage but risk dropping the combo)

There's a bit of my basic Mac knowledge :)

Exactly my thoughts

Also, more details on the special moves such as how punishable they are, good for ending or starting combos, and the enhanced versions as well. If I were you I would look over the jade thread and take for of a layout like that. W/ much more detail than what you have now.

Gaaaah... Ermac... Is... Too... Awesome...!

Can't... Resist... The... Awesomeness...!

Aaaarrrrggghhh... Must... Not... Play... Grrrr...!

That's it, I'm turning MK on right now and playing as Ermac.

Please forgive my off-topicness. Ignore this post if you want.

Yup, this thread needs a lot of work. Wish I could help you guys but I havent played Ermac long enough to give out any strats.

Never liked too much Ermac before this game, and before having the game, I was feeling he was a bit .... overrated.

Anyway, once I dedicated some time in training mode with him, I changed my mind, the guy is a hit machine, pretty versatile , with some serious deadly combos ..... he can put a hell of pressure in attack area, and resist and counter-attack very well against almost all type of opponent.

I think Ermac is one of the best "baiter" character in the game, maybe among top 10.

@Fox to be honest I don't care if you're the best Mac player ever to grace the game, they REALLY need character sub forums. Now you have last say on what info you want displayed, I put a perfectly good basic strategy up, all you had to do was copy and paste and you were good to go. The way it's setup, if someone visits the site for Ermac info, this topic will be the first he sees and it's in 1 person's hands, opposed to making a sub forum where they can clearly read the topic of the discussion and quickly/easily find the info they're looking for. The way it is now, if YOU don't put it there, they're going to have to go through all these pages of discussion to MAYBE find what they're looking for. I've put this in the suggestions page, and all we got are stickies still... It's lame.

HAHAHHAHAHAHAHAH SO TRUE! Everytime I play against Ermac is the same scrub combo over and over again. I cant wait till he gets nerfed and this combo is useless. +rep for you!

If the player is so scrub, quit falling for the setup, I direct you to http://www.trmk.org/forums/showthre...coming-A-Better-Player-Pt.-1-Learning-to-Lose Mac needs no nerfing, my main punishment combo is a 25%er, that's not that impressive, but I can damn sure execute it 100% of the time, so don't slip up or I'll getcha haha

EDIT: Btw, when you get a chance add combo:

Force lift, FJ+1, Teleport, dash, 2,2 Push/Xray - non-x is 25%, x is somewhere around 36%-42% they're not damaging combos but they're GREAT for punishment and can be done comfortably from just under jump distance. Can also add fj+1, f+1, 1 > lift etc. If you're feelin froggy and like jump ins.

Also, a good string to chip and test blockers(gives you decent advantage over block stun) is 1, 2 (pause) 1, 2 (pause). This gives you time to be sure they are blocking and you can either go in w/ a throw or mix up w/ b+3, 4 or maybe just poke them w/ a d+3. Sometimes it's nice to keep them standing because it allows you to play mind games w/ them.

Also when you get a chance, maybe adding notable normals such as u+3(maybe 4, I been playing w/ Brak lately) being his Medium attack which is considered overhead, even though it looks low. :)

His combos only have one set up that is actually worth using. *Insert combo starter*Force Lift,JumpKick,Teleport*Insert combo ender*

Out of curiosity, what are people doing online with him?

How was I 'destroying' the posts? If you are going to make an official character thread, it should be detailed :/ Coming from a user of Ermac too
