Overwriting?

I started playing Ko-op with Subzero and Scorpion, but when I try to save it says that I have to overwrite my previous game data. I know there's multiple slots that I could save on when I was playing before (with Kung Lao and Liu Kang)...but how come I have to overwrite my previous data now?

(FYI, I got to the last part of the game where I fight Shao Kahn but I can't beat that cheap ass madman...so I don't want to overwrite that...)

Umm... were you just using a whole new slot every single time you saved, even within the same game? If so, then that's probably why you don't have any slots left; you used them all up. I always saved over my pre-existing data for the game I was currently playing-- I don't see what reason there'd be to save the same game using more than one slot.

If you're not doing that, though, then I don't know what to say. I played through single-player mode as each character and ko-op as both sets of characters, and I wasn't ever forced to re-write data for another game.
