Photoshop Error

For all of those here that use Photoshop and are good with it, could you help me with one thing. I don't know why, but since a month ago my color balance layer will not change the colors for black. I never had this problem before. I even reinstalled it and it still wont work. If you know what the problem is or how to change it could you help me? If you need more info ask.

This is also one of the reasons why I havnt been doing sigs and it is hindering what I enjoy doing. My backgrounds come out as scrap now, if I'm lucky.

I have found that there is no way to change the colors of pure black or pure white with color balance layers, hue/saturation changes or anything like that. You need to change the black to a dark grey and work with it a bit until you get what you want. For black. go to your brightness settings and make it a tad darker, so it is grey. Then the color balance will work fine. I dont know why this is, but that's how it has always been for me. Hope this helped.
