Who wants to see MK12 take place in Great Kung Lao's time?

It'll be a chance to reinvent Siro, Taja & Vorpax somehow.

Imagine Great Kung Lao's own moveset different from his descendant's. He can wield a Shaolin spade for a weapon signature & use the whirlwind kick from Deadly Alliance.

And if the fates were changed, GKL's fate would be changed by defeating Goro and the fallen Shokan prince would be inhabited by the soul of the Dragon King Onaga.

Some characters' fates can be changed somehow too. Redemption for Reptile in regaining his lost realm Zaterra, fallen Edenian king Jerrod taking control of Ermac with all the souls within at his command.

Fujin, Tremor & Rain deserve to be in the main roster with FG Liu Kang! Thinking Avatar-like.

We probably won't be seeing Scorpion & Sub-Zero (+Noob Saibot) anytime soon until the future. Perhaps the grandfather of Kuai Liang & Bi-Han can be the first Sub-Zero somehow.

* There would be no Shang Tsung, Quan Chi, nor Shao Kahn.

* The story should mainly be in the origins of all realms. Mainly in the timeline of Mortal Kombat: Conquest. Then if possible, there should be a story DLC or story DLC's that would take place in present day (MK1-MK11) with certain characters being DLC (such as Johnny Cage, Sonya, Kitana, Hanzo Hasashi, Kuai Liang, Mileena, Jade, and etc.).

* The main villain should definitely be the Dragon King for sure. Can have 4 arms. He somehow manages to have all Kamidogus from Mortal Kombat Deception and some how defeat who ever the canon keeper of time is from MK11.

* Reiko can return with his moves and some of Shao Kahn's moves.

* We can have Kreeya as an original Kytinn (D'Vorah's ancestor). Can have moves of D'Vorah.

* Reptile can be a younger version of himself. He can use a sword and his own original moves.

* Kiri can actually be Khameleon and similar move sets as Mileena's but have dual daggers instead of sais with abilities to spit acid as a projectile and use her tongue as a whip.

* King Jerrod can be playable with his weapons and abilities from a previous comic for the classic MK games.

* Sindel can be a younger version of herself and be in the side of good.

* Emerald (a name that was rumored to be a secret character back in MK2) can be Jade's mother (officially the woman in Jade's MK9 and MK11 endings) can have a move set similar to Jade's while using a staff and a razorang.

* Delia (Taven's and Daegon's mother) can be a sorceress that wields one bladed fan to attack and perform magic (she can be the character that wields a fan in this game but not an exact copy of Kitana).

* Argus (Taven's and Daegon's father) can be playable with unique powers, skills, and abilities.

* Taja can return and have dual kali sticks as her weapons.

* Siro can return and have dual tonfas as his weapons.

* Liu Kang can have fire and his nunchakus and again. If he is the canon keeper of time in the MK11 ending, Onaga would defeat him in MK12 but would survive because he would be rescued by the protagonists of this game though his powers as "Fire God" would be stripped away.

* Raiden can return along with Fujin.

* Vorpax OR Omegis can be revamped as a sorceress who becomes the love interest of the Great Kung Lao but betrays him to work for the Dragon King and become his queen. (She can have similar moves of Shang Tsung, Quan Chi, and Shinnok.)

* The Dragon King should capture the younger versions of Kitana, Jade, and Tanya and make them his warriors and slaves while they are NPCs in the in-game story mode. The goal of Jerrod, Sindel, and Emerald (Jade's mother) is to rescue them.

* Shujinko can be revamped as a Shirai Ryu warrior that will take the name "Scorpion". He can have the same weapons as the the original Scorpion (including the spear).

* Cetrion can return as DLC either as herself or by possessing Li Mei.

Liu needs to ensure that the new events will hopefully reunite with her and his friends in the future. Plus throughout the series, after all the badgering, Liu has no choice but to share with him, Siro & Taja about the former timeline and many others and GKL's old fate when he died by Goro's hands.

* As for Gen Reyland? He was the former love of GKL's life. I don't see Vorpax. Maybe Omegis? Who knows.

* Tremor should also be brought back and maybe the Dream Realm canon that had no effect by the timeline changes by Liu Kang and Kronika. He was watching and the Dream Realm turns him into an Earth demigod. He'll be on the neutral side of things, but fights alongside Liu Kang, Fujin & sometimes Rain.

* How about a voodoo priest/priestess replacing Shang Tsung & Quan Chi? I would also have Havik & Hotaru join in as well, reintroducing the realms of chaos & order/Seido.

* For Great Kung Lao, he should almost defeat Onaga before his dying breath and let FG Liu finish him.

However, he gets killed in battle and becomes ressurected as a revenant either working for an evil sorcerer/sorceress or resurrected by the Dragon King and becomes the first Scorpion. Or he can just be alive and name himself "Scorpion" since he'd be skilled with the chained spear. Just a way to re-invent a 3D era character.

Any ideas for new characters in GKL's time?

Well, here are some ideas of new characters.

1. A female protagonist with a sword and shield. She can be similar to Sophitia from Soul Calibur when it comes to appearance and personality. She'd have moves similar to Wonder Woman's sword and shield in the Injustice series.

2. A male protagonist who is an ancestor of Johnny Cage and Cassie Cage. He would have the green powers the Cages have and would be of Mediterranean descent.

3. A female dominatrix type of character can be an antagonist. She can use a whip and have Catwoman's whip moves with Wonder Woman's lasso moves from the Injustice series. She would throw bolas as a projectile and to immobilize opponents for combos.

4. A female or male Native American ancestor of Nightwolf can be a protagonist. He/she can be the person with the arrow and bow in this game.

5. An male executioner type of character (similar to Astaroth in Soul Calibur and Pyramid Head in Silent Hill) can be an antagonist who wields a giant axe.

6. If Motaro will not return, there can be a new minotaur type of character. OR... Motaro can start of as a Minotaur but during a boss battle, transforms into a centaur.

7. A new sorcerer or sorceress that will have Quan Chi's, Shang Tsung's, and Shinnok's moves (if none of those 3 will return). This sorcerer would also be able to summon demons and humanoids to attack during battle. Better yet, this sorcerer should be able to summon the likes of Netherrealm demon characters such as Kia, Jataaka, Sareena, Ashrah, Moloch, Drahmin, an Oni, or anyone similar to them.

8. Khameleon can return with Mileena's moves. (Instead of sais, she has daggers.)

9. Jade's mother (the woman in her MK9 and MK11 ending) should have her moves and weapons but with a slightly different style (just like how Michelle's moves were similar to Julia's moves in the Tekken series). Only this time though the staff would be some type of Naginata or Yari. She should also be named Emerald (a character rumored to be in MK2.)

10. Now that I remember it, Hornbuckle. He have the moves of Liu Kang in this game. Fire God Liu Kang can be in the game but not a playable character. Instead, Liu Kang gets defeated by the final boss of this game at the beginning of the story and takes his powers.

11. The final boss of this game should be Onaga (The Dragon King).

12. Reptile should be in this game but as a human first.

13. A new Kytinn character can be an antagonist who would have D'Vorah's moves.

14. Nitara can be in this game since vampires do not really age.

15. A younger Sindel can be in this game.

16. King Jerrod can be in this game with his powers and sword from an old MK comic.

17. Delia can be in this game while wielding a fan to perform magic.

18. Argus can be in this game while he uses a magical staff.

19. Daegon can be playable and start the Red Dragon clan (since that's where the Black Dragon came from).

20. Amara can be in this game. She is Rain's mother as revealed in his MK11 ending. She can wield a katar (similar to what Rain has in MK11) and can also throw a chakram. (Her moves would be similar to a Rajput warrior.)

21. A new Lin Kuei warrior can be nicknamed "Sub-Zero".

22. A new Shirai Ryu warrior OR Shujinko can be nicknamed "Scorpion".

23. Kintaro can return as the playable Shokan.

24. A new Naknadan character can return.

against Shung Tsung and sub-boss Goro alongside warriors from Outworld in Kahn's side( ancestors of reptile, vampires..)

I may not include characters from Netherrealm, they obey Shinnok and QuanChi, they dont care about Kahn's projects
During this era, all MK tournaments only take place on earth, Kahn didnt prefer yet Centaurs over Shokans, so no Motaro on earth. Kintaro always lives in outworld
