I agree. If anything, character diversity would prevent MK from becoming boring / stale with only a handful of character types. I think MK will be better off in the future if they can create even more interesting characters than D'vorah.

Of course this is all very vague and in general since I could switch some of the favorite characters around depending on which game it is. For example, although I LOVED Ermac in MKD, MKA, MK9, and his short appearance in MKSM, I don't really care for him much from UMK3 and absolutely hate his design and execution in MKX, so Sub-Zero and Quan Chi would absolutely be on top of THAT game's list.
