As you can tell by the video, this is a VERY sad song. Shortly after songwriting for the band's "Nightmare" album (which features this song) was completed, drummer and founding member Jimmy "The Rev" Sullivan died of an accidental drug overdose. The initial plan from the start was for the band to make a dark concept album similar to Pink Floyd's "The Wall" or Queensryche's "Operation: Mindcrime", but the lyrics took on a whole new meaning once Sullivan died.

EDIT: Actually, now that I think about it, I think today's the 4 year anniversary of The Rev's passing...this after I had just bought the deluxe edition of Hail to the King post-Chrimbus.

This helped me get over the disastrous relationship with a girl that didn't pan out. Long story. Great ballad by them!
