Modern Rap.

Most modern rap doesn't entertain me and the messages make me just change the station/song.

Then everyone calls me a pussy and shit but I don't give a damn. Nothing funny about sniffing cocaine and then getting a STD from a prostitute.

My most hated rapper is Lil Wayne. And no, his older songs weren't good. He was never good. His voice sounds like a field of dying cats.

The only modern rapper I like is Drake.

And one of my favorite rap songs of all time

And of course rap influences people. I don't think it's worth suing the rapper for the increased drug use and other crimes but it definitely plays a role. If everyone in the world was listening to Mozart, it would be a lot different. And you can't even argue with that because it's just logic. People see these rappers as role models and a lot of people hear their lyrics and think, "Oh! It must be cool to do that!" when it's really not.

There's still hope for the genre. You still have artists like:
-Chiddy Bang
-Asap Rocky
-Schoolboy Q
-Kendrick Lamar
-Childish Gambino
-Wale(50/50 since he signed with MMG, but you still get good stuff)
-Lupe Fiasco(Pre-Lasers, and soon with his F+L2 Album)
-GOOD Music Roster
-2 Chainz (50/50)
-Yelawolf
-Slaughterhouse
and probably a lot more. You shouldn't really compare artists like Kanye to Waka Flocka, because you'll drive yourself up a wall. The problem is that they put those party rap songs with regular rap. Yeah, I'll listen to Waka Flocka to get hype, but if I'm listening to him for lyrics, then I'm an idiot. Don't cut every type of rap with the same knife.

Soulja Boy is the one who killed rap.
The one that helped start the skinny jean nonsense.
And the one who turned G's into dancers.

People always talk about hating Bieber.
They need to turn that hate towards Boy.

While Soulja Boy is the one who started that skinny jean nonsense, I blame early 2000s Rap and Lil Jon for the death of good Rap. Y'all know which song I'm talking about.

He's the one who made it were as long as you have a good beat, you can repeat same shit over and over again.

About 85% of my rap music is from the 90's but my current playlist consist of:

Jay Z
Kanye West
Good music
Slaughter house
Kendrick lamar
Drake
Kirko bangz
J-cole
Big Sean (I DO IT) lol

I stopped listening to rap around 2008

I just can't relate to it anymore

only rappers I listen to now are Lupe and Eminem

You can't use that word here iVital

"Insert mainstream _____s"

Reported.

might not be able to say it but it's sooo true, my 90's rap consisted of so many artists that were 10 times better:

Camp-lo
every on on Rawkus
onyx
the roots
dialated peoples
epmd
kieth murray
geto boys
The Pharcyde

and all the other ones mentioned already like Ice Cube, nas, the list goes on...

My opinion is that rap died a horrible death. In a burning, fiery car crash.

"Real" rappers like Wayne and them are really, unlikeable. Some of us don't want to smoke weed and kill a igga in the same day. Whenever I listen to modern rap tday its mostly funk a , smoke a blunt, and party. Funk all consquences and live your life; hence the saying "yolo"

Also let's not forget about the auto tune/singing rappers.

Dude! Where the hell have you been? and edit that Nword, and F words. before you get a Infraction, and I agree with you on everything you've said.

#RNS.
