Robin in Arkham City?.. this is bad should've gone with the Animated Series Robin as well
looks like the stupid guy from Force Unleashed/Infamous(or just about any modern game)

oh well, Nightwing is cooler than Robin anyway. He also appeared in the animated series in season 4, things looked a little different there, but it was still almost as good as the first 3 seasons

My favorite episode was the Joker Christmas Special or the one with the Joker casino.Mark Hamil is supreme. And this has got to be the best animated series ever hands down.Oh and season 4 i think should have never been done honestly.Yea nightwing was far cooler than robin but the new robin and the new stories werent up to snuff.

This sereies is a classic that I will never forget. I love this cartoon, and the opening... well I have yet to see another one just as EPIC!!

This is by far the definitive Batman. It has completely ruined the Batman movies for me, especially Batman Begins/The Dark Knight, as they are trying to be serious, the earlier four are dumb, but they aren't trying to be anything but campy . They all pale in comparison to The Animated Series. I absolutely love The Mask of The Phantasm movie, Phantasm seemed very scary to me back in the day. As for my favorite episode, it might be Day of the Samurai, the 2nd episode featuring Kyodai Ken (the first being Night of the Ninja), an old martial arts rival to Bruce Wayne. Others would be The Greeeeeeeeeeeey Ghost, His Silicon Soul, and Lock-Up, all unique and awesome.

yeah, they are pretty cool. And its funny that the same batman voice actor in the animated series also does the one in arkham asylum. and now that he's a costume it makes it all the more better. Mark Hamill also voiced in animated and arkham asylum as well

So if you have that costume, you're pretty much playing "Batman The Animate Series The Game"

don't forget the iconic harley quinn. i don't think anyone can replace her voice lol

I was always more of an X-Men fan, but I will admit that this is probably the best Fox Kids animated series, and for that matter greates catoon series EVER, I loved the gothic/40s Noir style and the stories were awesome. The animation was also consistant and very smooth, and yes Jade, I agree Kevin Conroy played the definitive dark Knight in this. This series is what actually made me a Batman fan, after watching a few episodes I picked up a copy of the Dark Knight returns graphic novel and it was all over.

i have to agree. i love this series even the arkham asylum video game are soooo epic. cannot wait for arkham city. i cannot stand the recent batman flicks. i liked the old ones only cuz i liked the actors. the recent ones, agreed, try to be so serious. it doesn't work for me. i remember watching the dark knight in theaters and the whole time i was like wtf? lol

"I am vengeance, I am the night, I AM BATMAN!!!"- I love that line. From Nothing to Fear, Season 1. Anyway, this series is argueably one of if not the best interpretation of the Batman character, and I've seen most media versions. Everything from the voice acting to the plot to even the complexity and depth these characters have. Like many of you, I grew up with this Batman when I was younger, so my nostalgia peaked recently.

May I warn the forum here: should you want to buy this series on DVD, do NOT buy Batman: The Complete Animated Series from online dealers! There are many frauds out there, and I'll tell you this: that edition was only made for a year back in 2008, so unless you find it in Best Buy I would not purchase it if I were you. Your best bet is to do as I do and buy each volume independently from retailers or online stores as those are still produced(there are four volumes, with TNBA being called Volume 4, which it really was a sequel to the originals). Ebay or Amazon is ok to buy from for the independent volumes, but not the Complete Series edition as that will 99% of the time be a cheaply made pirated copy that won't run well.

Anyway, any true fan of Batman has to watch this show as it translates the character the best and I highly reccomend it. I find it hard to believe B:TAS was released 19 years ago though; it just doesn't feel that old.

I love this show so much!! the intro was deep never gets old. All the villains in this were so good, When Harley and Ivy worked together that was really cool

As awesome as the series is, it busts my balls how many Joker episodes there are.

In the first season alone, there are like 6 Joker episodes.

Riddler has like 3 episodes the entire series.

I CALL BALLS ON THIS ONE, BATMAN

Well I guess they wanted to keep him mysterious like his character should be, so they only gave a few episodes.
And they never used him in season 4 I dont think. But he was in an episode of Superman the animated series where Superman is dressed as batman. But they gave him a redesign and it looked horrible. He was bald and wore pajamas.

Anyway, this show is awesome. I think this series got most of the characters down the best. Like Twoface I never really felt was ever done that great in both Forever/Dark Knight, but he was great in the animated series. Mr Freeze too. Where do I even begin. They did such an amazing job with him in this series. You really became attached to his character and story which is odd considering he has so little emotions. Bane was just a retarded luchadore in the early episodes, but they fixed him up in season 4 though and made him cool.
I dont know, this show is pretty much flawless. I dont think any superhero cartoon will ever top it.

also Kevin Conroy = Best Batman voice. Bale sounds so dumb compared to him.

And this show introduced me to Batman, my older brother being the big fan he was, had all the kickass toys and vhs tapes right there ready to go for me when I was real young. I still got them all somewhere lol.

So when I think of batman this cartoon ultimatly is what comes to mind. That and the Tim Burton's movies and Batman Forever. More so the cartoon though. But looking back, this cartoon was for the big kids. I didnt even fully appreciate this show till I got older. Shit was deep man. That 90's spiderman cartoon was child's play in comparison to this. Like I dont think there will ever be a cartoon that kids can watch that is handled so professionally and as clever as this. They just dont do that anymore with superhero cartoons on TV. (justice leauge was good though) They either only make things too dumb and kid friendly, or just for adults. This show was able to reach out to alot of people.

Yeah, I saw the bald pajama design *shudder*, so awful :/

I read before that they limited Riddler's use in the animated series because it was too hard to make episodes as short as they needed to be and it was hard for them to come up with a lot of riddles, lol.

I didn't like how they portrayed Tim Drake in the animated series. In the comic books, Tim Drkae is probably the smartest kid that could ever wear the Robin costume. In the animated series, he's just another child who acts like any other kid in elementary school.

Was anyone creeped out by the episode with Kimmy and 'Mojo' that ended up being her dad?

I was.

Legit.
