This version of Shujinko is my favorite.
Although he is somewhere around his late 40's to early 50's in this stage, it also depicts him as a battle hardened veteran.
His armor and overall look is quite good as well. I wish he returns as one of the main heroes of MK10, and this version of him will be the most apt, as I recall he got the invitation to participate in MK1 right after Nightwolf's soul cleansing.
That age of 40 shall be better with Shujinko than the elder age.

Dont know if you guys noticed, but I think thats the warriors medallion on his chest there. ;3 Cant tell too well though, the picture is too low res.

I am a self-confessed sentimentalist, and it is an opening (along with finding out the storyline later) which makes me feel sadness for poor Shujinko.

Ahh Shujinko... Totally in love with this character. Just thinking about the MKD konquest makes me feel all nostalgic. I loved his naive yet humble and kind character, his very powerful storyline and chilling voice. There is much room for improvement when it comes to him as a fighter, but all in all, it is a character with great potential. However, if MK10 will only focus on the MK4 events, I do not think we will see Shujinko just yet.
