Around 4:15pm CST, the demo began seeding to those who have been eagerly awaiting its arrival.

We have been live streaming the demo during periods of the night at our Forum Chat Room. If we're not playing right this moment, you can view the archives of our sessions at our TRMK Live Channel on Justin.tv.

We've also noticed that Dan "Toasty" Forden delivers his classic line in the Living Forest and The Pit stages after a few uppercuts. Perhaps there's something hidden in the demo?

We will continue to play and capture videos from the demo, so keep it turned here for comprehensive coverage of the PSN Demo. So far the reaction from those watching our stream has been unbelievably positive! We cannot wait until we have the complete game soon. There's much more to come!

Dan forden appears on the pit also. I have seen it 2 times already.

The only faults in this is mostly audio related. And small gameplay glitches like Sub Zero's slide

I'm starting to think I'm the only person yet to encounter Mr. Forden during gameplay. I've beaten the arcade ladder with every character at least once and on varying difficulties. Still nothing. I've played some Vs. matches and done lots of uppercuts.... still no "TOASTY!". Either I'm doing something wrong or Dan just hates me.

Joshuaalt mentioned that he forgot to press down+start (I completely forgot it myself), when Dan Forden appears.
Has anyone else tried this???

Am I alone in not liking this demo? The most important aspects of a fighting game are the mechanics and movement fluidness and this game is choppy, slow, and stiff. I think when a company has to downgrade to 2D from a successful 3D game, that says alot. The graphics and the costumes look great but the actual gameplay is a total let down. I'm canceling my pre-ordered game.

Another thing, the characters get covered in so much blood when fighting it kills the look of their nice outfits. Blood is cool but damn...I don't know, I think WB and Boon and crew are not going to reap the rewards they may think they will. MK VS DC was corny yeah, but the fighting mechanics were stellar! in MK VS DC the characters looked and moved like real people fighting, this new MK they move and strike like hunchedback apes! The fighting map is tight and small and the xray bars eat up visual space on the screen. I don't see how I'm the only one who notices these things.

You sir are obviously not playing the same demo as me. The combat is fast, smooth, flawless, and feels 5 times better than MKvDC (which I also love). The gameplay in this demo is stellar, and the final build will even be improved more. Not once has movement been slow or choppy for me, maybe your console is defective?

I haven't gotten him to pop up at all. Are you guys getting him in versus or single player?

At above poster, don't judge too fast. :) It is a very short demo unfortunately. I personally feel like this is an advanced version of "mk deception" but that is okay. At first I didn't really like that game when it first came out, but then I tried the krypt.. my god that was awesome and I'm so glad its back in this. Even though this is not the 2d remake I thought it would be, it's still good in an unexpected way for me.

I do wish the jumping animations were either slower, or more like the 2d classic games, also not a huge fan of throw as it's own button, its good they have forward and x and square for throw as an alternative, but its way too hard to push both buttons at the exact same time. I would have just liked to have it the old way.

The only 2 things I wish were updated are the overly skimpy clothing of the females, overly muscular (tranny look) and the jump kicks.. they just don't feel right, too fast.. I'm not sure. But I really think this game will be one of my favorites.. I can't wait for the king of the hill multiplayer especially.

Proof of "Dan Fordan" popping out on "The Pit" Stage as well in the MK9 PSN Demo. I snapped the pic myself.
