Need Help Regarding the Unlocking of Li Mei

I can't figure out how you're supposed to get into the little compound of houses on f-7 where Li Mei can be unlocked. It's gated and surrounded by water.

Any suggestions/answers would be greatly appreciated.

Yeah you get there after you have been to Order Realm. In Order Realm you get Hotaru to goto Outrealm to defend the walled city. You follow him to Outworld and go through a few missions before you get sent to that group of houses by Kano when you meet him in the Living Forest. You are basically a prisoner of Shao Kahn at that point. Then you can get Li Mei, just walk into the house and you'll see her.

Ah, I get it. I wasn't aware that I had to go back to help Hotaru's forces and then would be sent back to the f-7 group of houses. Thanks.
