Lack of.....

The thing is: MK:2011 followed the events of MK1, 2, and 3 so, naturally, people assumed the next game would be MK4 and the 3D era games re-imagined. That's why people keep whining for all those awful MK:DA and onward characters.

Well, I can't speak for everyone but I never thought it would be MK4-MKA re-imagined. I did think, though, that it wouldn't be just Ed Boon's way of saying "boo-hoo, we created all those shitty characters and stuff that we aren't interested anymore so we're killing them all off because we're so coolz lolz" and they would at the very least keep some things in there even if as a nod, besides developing the worthy aspects of the 3D games. I sincerely believe that it's ridiculous how they're getting rid of every character that isn't of their interest anymore. There IS potential in some MK4-MKA characters and there is potential in certain aspects of its story. It is very childish to give time and attention to kill the characters they are not interested in anymore and/or put them down and then just plain ignore the ones that are worth being developed.

I got some really bad news for those that speak the English language. You see... it's a living language. Give it some time and "lol" will be a recognized part of the lexicon of English. There is no proper English, there's just the English we're using now, which happens to be a language in evolving flux. If it bothers you all that much that people have their own dialects and whatnot, then I recommend learning Latin and using that. At least then you can be pretty damned sure that any "butchering" is entirely accidental.

I could go for some more female characters for sure. I'm probably the resident feminist of this forum but yeah. I totally want to see a diverse cast of characters. Especially when it comes to the human (and human like such as the Edenians) characters.

I would like to see at least 8 female characters on the roster. We'll have Cassie, D'Vorah, Ferra/Tor (kinda debatable really), Jacquie, Sonya, Mileena, Kitana, and then I guess whatever DLC characters that come out.

Speaking of Diverse, some characters from Seido ,Chaos realm, or any other realm would have been nice. We have a special forces team just full of Earthrealmers as the heroes , maybe throw in some colorful characters(literally if possible) from different realms sought out by Raiden to help or maybe just some more villains.

Kano,Shinnok ,Quan Chi, Reiko (if playable), Mileena and the Big bad are evil. Ermac, Kotal, Dvorrah,Reptile, Torr and Erron could be considered neutral at this point. I liked how Armageddon was just straight up Light vs Dark with an even ratio. Then again I guess that's where the revenant fights come in.

It's one thing to double post but to make 4 comments in a row.... dude ffs just multi quote.

Anyway to me the only thing this game is lacking is indoor stages however don't take this as a complaint it's just an observation lol

Lol good point, I'm doing this from my phone I just forget.

I guess kickin someone's ass outdoors just looks better, those backgrounds in Mk9 were gorgeous as are these :D

Oh yeah, definitely. But I would like quality over quantity. I have to admit that the variation system makes me a bit... uncomfortable, but I admit that I don't know nearly enough about it to fully judge. But I too am a bit worried about the lack of outright bad guys to an extent. I'm not really jazzed about revanant fights or good guys vs. good guys fights because of some possession problem because well... we had that in MK vs. DC and it was kinda lame back then. And telling that kind of story again in my opinion is a bit too soon.

Quan Chi, Shinnok, and Kenshi are not enough out of that demographic.

Fixed. 8)

There are too many MK9 characters in MKX, considering that it's supposed to be a passing of the torch game, and it would be nice to see some characters like Fujin, Reiko and Havik getting a 2nd chance at being playable, especially since all have had some roles in the comics that could greatly add to the "Who's next?" / "next generation" direction which MKX is going in.
The nostalgia game was MK9.

How about copy/pasting the new characters from MKX onto the MK9 roster and make THAT MKX?

That would be ideal, all the classics + a bunch of new ones, everyone would be happy.

It's also science fiction though, it's never gonna happen.

(Well... perhaps it will if we get some sort of MKA2 in the future)

Ony if I can also kill off 8 MK9 characters of my liking and replace them with Kotal Kahn, Ferra / Torr, D'Vorah, Cassie Cage, Takeda, Kung Jin, Jacqui and Erron Black.

If so, I choose to sacrifice Jax, Kung Lao, Kitana, Jade, Nightwolf, Sindel, Stryker, Kabal.
If it was up to me, the dead stay dead and we would have the new characters taking their place on that "clean slate" (Steve Beran's words).

Huh?
That's essentially what is happening in MKX, though......

- Original 7
- Goro
- Reptile
- MKII debut characters, minus Baraka (probably DLC)
- Ermac
- Kenshi, Quan Chi, Shinnok
- 8 NEW MKX characters

It is not... I don't care for many of them, I'd prefer to have Smoke, Rain, Noob, Cyrax and Kabal instead of Jax, Sonya, Cage, Kano and Liu Kang.

I mean, if the roster was the whole trilogy pack (the 30 something) + the new characters, then everyone would be happy.

I don't care for that though, there are many MK9 characters I rather not see ever again, like those 5 I mentioned + Sheeva, Stryker, Jade, Sindel, and a bunch more.

I was just theorizing the "ideal scenary", doesn't mean it's the one I want or like.

You never mentioned YOUR favorites before, just the klassics + a bunch of new ones making everyone happy.

Most people, for the most part on here and on other threads are fapping to the idea of all the characters that I mentioned, and those are the ones that they can't let go of.

Again, you don't care for that, but there are plenty who do, and you didn't mention that in your previous post.

I get that it's not "your" ideal scenario, but plenty of people here are happy with a majority MK1 and MKII roster, 1 MK3 character, 3 post-MK3 characters and 8 new characters.
Ed Boon publicly hates on some of the post-MK3 characters, and suddenly everyone else (not necessarily you) jumps on the bandwagon and follows suit.

I sincerely believe that it's ridiculous how they're getting rid of every character that isn't of their interest anymore.

You think that it's ridiculous that NRS developers are choosing to spend time out of their lives, and money out of their allowance, to work on characters they like, as opposed to characters they don't like?

Do you understand how ridiculously entitled that sounds?

Do you understand that to reinvent Kai, or Frost, or whoever it is you want, would take people months of actual work? And the people having to do that work might, just might, not give enough of a shit about Kai, or Frost, or whoever it is you want, to want to spend literally months of their own lives making those characters come to life just so that you can enjoy them?

What is ebonics? You watch your mouth.

Oh no, I'm petrified! Before you resort to empty threats you should probably educate yourself.

Ebonics was originally coined to refer to the language of the African Diaspora. Since the mid-1990s, it has been used colloquially to refer to a distinctive lect, or variety, of English spoken by African Americans, which most linguists refer to as African American Vernacular English.

How the hell are you on the internet and unaware of what slang is? Laugh Out Loud

I know exactly what slang is, I was asking what the word meant. Please excuse me for not being even remotely interested in learning American slang.

Not sure if racist....

but the problem is that you kept going on about it even after being "educated" on it.

How is using an accurate, non-derogatory term relating to linguistics even remotely racist?

Asking questions about something out of curiosity in order to further 'educate' myself is not a 'problem'.
