Lack of.....

I am quietly confident we won't see Sheeva, as Goro is the most famous Shokan character and they wouldn't want overlap with his move set (he too will have three variations).

I believe Tanya did have a very brief cameo on MK9, either in a cut scene or as a background character on a stage. It'd be nice to see her as a DLC character, though. I'd hope the same for Rain and Fujin, but I guess it's anyone's guess at this point.

What makes me think Shinnok is in (besides the trailer reveal) is that there's been no mention of Shang Tsung so far, and it would be strange for the game to only have one sorcerer character (Quan Chi); two is much more likely, and so I'd say Quan and Shin.

6 females, that's more than enough, this is a tournament to death, it makes sense that the majority of the combatants are male.

The female size seems to match MK9, and I don't think this game was ever advertised as a MK4 remake or something of that nature. So no, I am not surprised by the female&MK4 representation in MKX.

I do wish there were a few more female fighters, and not for any "FEMALE REPRESENTATION SEXIST PIGS!!11!" reasons. But, as a girl, I just like playing as the female ones a little more. I think maybe 2 or 3 more female characters would be nice, whether DLC or on disc

I'd like them to add Skarlet, the only decent MK9 female IMO, the rest had horrible gameplay and outfits.

(Skarlet's outfit sucked too but her powers were unique)

I think NRS could do an amazing job with literally any of the characters, but yeah Skarlet was actually pretty good. I'd prefer other characters before her but if she's in I'd welcome her with open arms.

Also this thread has gotten really off topic over slang, and that's a little funny XD
 
The thing is: MK:2011 followed the events of MK1, 2, and 3 so, naturally, people assumed the next game would be MK4 and the 3D era games re-imagined. That's why people keep whining for all those awful MK:DA and onward characters.
 
Using the abbreviation "prolly" is a race thing now, lol? Some ppl on this site come off as really sheltered. I first notice this when I saw ppl stating Jax's smack talk was a form of "Jive Talk", which I guess is code for nikka-talking on this board. Back in reality though, Jax phrases is something normal ppl do all the time, for example, going outside and playing ball with your boys usually includes some smack talk to keep the game hype, and to add fun.

Lol I was saying the slang and shortening of words isnt really strange, but as far as being articulate goes it could get annoying reading my slang if no one else uses it.

I could go for some more female characters for sure. I'm probably the resident feminist of this forum but yeah. I totally want to see a diverse cast of characters. Especially when it comes to the human (and human like such as the Edenians) characters.

I would like to see at least 8 female characters on the roster. We'll have Cassie, D'Vorah, Ferra/Tor (kinda debatable really), Jacquie, Sonya, Mileena, Kitana, and then I guess whatever DLC characters that come out. Right now, if you count Ferra/Tor and I'm inclined to do so, we have 7 female characters that are playable on the roster. One more would round it out pretty nicely I think.

No one gives a shit, honestly. It's just one word that he used a slang word to replace it with. It's not a big deal.

Anyway to me the only thing this game is lacking is indoor stages however don't take this as a complaint it's just an observation lol
