To elaborate on our previous rumor mill posting, we had also heard that Midway was contemplating naming the next Mortal Kombat game Mortal Kombat: Armageddon. A quick check on the Internet's domain records reveals that Midway had recently registered the domain name MKArmageddon.com ([url=http://www.whois.sc/mkarmageddon.com]whois) on Friday, September 23rd, 2005. Given that the same source provided us with the Armageddon subtitle, we believe that this domain registration corraborates the story about the next Mortal Kombat fighting game remaining on current generation consoles. Check out a screenshot of the registrar record, just in case Midway tries to cover this up.
