With the release of Mortal Kombat (2011) less than two weeks away Warner Bros. is really starting to flex it's marketing muscle to get word out on the upcoming game. Billboards have been popping up all over the place over the past week. In one case it's literally as large as life, like the photo below from the Mortal Kombat ad in Times Square.

Click Thumbnail to Enlarge

Sometimes the billboards will even be moving at 200mph! For the upcoming NASCAR race, Aaron's 312 at Talladega, on April 16th the GameStop #20 Toyota driven by Joey Logano will be decked out in Mortal Kombat themed imagery as seen below. The car will have a Mortal Kombat Dragon on the hood along with Sub-Zero and Scorpion on each side. There will even be a WB Games logo on the back deck lid. You can tune in and root for the #20 GameStop Mortal Kombat car April 16th at 3PM EST on ESPN 2.

Update 4/7 2pm: Reader Damien Nichols sent in this video of a hilarious animated Mortal Kombat Ad which was seen inside of a men's bathroom. It even has Scorpion doing his Get Over Here catch phrase.

Update 4/7 3pm: NetherRealm Studios Producer Hector Sanchez just tweeted this link for a guerilla Mortal Kombat marketing stunt in Europe where Mortal Kombat (2011) logo signs are spun about in an acrobatic manner. Very cool and impressive, watch it below.

Wow this is exciting! The advertising in Times Square reminds me of the hype the first console commercial brought. I hope NRS makes a lot of money on this game!! They deserve it.:hail:

Man, I hope they make a 1/16 scale of that car, that thing looks awesome...

And they have a huge ass billboard for the game right on Broadway! Glad WB is taking care of NRS and is promoting the hell out of it.
