Poem: Promise and Departure

This poem I have worked on for 3 nights, I get bored staying up so late. Anyway, not my best work, but It has a bit of meaning. I hope some of you like it.

Promise and Departure

Alone in my room
Thinking of you, while I sleep.
Deep thoughts, enter my mind.
You have always been there, for me
But I don't always read the signs, that you throw at me.
I need some guidance, and I need it now, to stay with you.
Can you help me start something new?
The thing we have, it's something great
We always love and we never hate.
I don't want to throw that all away
Just look into my eyes, and tell me what to say.
I don't want to go, I don't want to die
But worst of all, I don't want to see you cry.
I don't want to go through this again
If I do, my life with you will end.
We shall part our ways, for our wounds to mend
But don't worry, we will see each other again.
This, I promise you.

Edit: I decided to also post this short poem I wrote last night. It could have been better and my word choice wasn't the best.

Connection

Thinking of you, where ever you are.
If you are near, or if you are far.
Our souls connected, intertwined.
My soul is yours, and yours is mine.
Never to leave, always together.
Just like family, or birds on a feather.
When one feels pain, the other feels too.
I'm just glad, I can be this close to you.
If one ever leaves, never to return.
Then the other will follow, without much concern.
For our souls are connected, intertwined.
Forever together, in body and mind.

Nice work once again, Kona. The first Poem is very emotional. I have to ask you, was that Poem infuenced by a personal life experience? Or do you just like to write such material? I also like the way the second one has been written. Is it me or do both of your Poems seem to connect somehow?

Thanks Chief. I guess from what you said, it could be what is in my head, or a little of personal experiences. As for material I write, I do a lot of these kinds, and I enjoy all of them.

Also, quite possibly the two do connect. Hopefully, if I can stay awake tonight, I will write two more. Aftermath, the Tragedy and The Story

I don't know, might also do a game poem like you said.
