With the Japanese version of the game out, several interesting facts surfaced about the seemingly simple compilation of the Alpha trilogy (plus Gen Fighter).
This isn't a simple arcade compilation as originally told by Capcom, as it has the original arcade versions plus "Arrange" versions of Alpha 2 and 3. They also include the home version exclusive characters (in Alpha 3 that is), sans the handheld characters. There are tons of options such as colour editing etc. To top everything off, a bonus game called Hyper SF Alpha much like Hyper SFII from a few years ago. That means all Alpha games are put together with all backgrounds, music, character versions etc in one game.
Simply put, this is a SF fan's wet dream and it's only $29.99 (coming out in mid June in NA). Naturally, there are no loading times in the games with the exception of the initial transfer of data onto the system's memory. Even with that, the JPN version has a HDD install option to elimintate even that.
The compilation reportedly supports 480p unlike SFAC. I really can't wait for the US release.. Just a heads up to the 2-3 SF fans on these boards :P
